There are people in this world who think Josh Rojas should be playing 3rd base for the M's next year.

Sometimes I feel like I just live in an alternative universe from others.

I think we'd be better off with Moore and Haggerty starting at 3B or 2B than either Rojas or Urias.

They both seem like good candidates to have sub-.700 OPS's in their first season in Seattle.

The only one I think should be a starter is Moore at 2B. The rest are utility guys imo.

Dipoto got cute again hoping for some best case scenarios from a bunch of scrubs.

Perfect Epitaph:

Here Lies Jerry Dipoto,

got cute again hoping for some best case scenarios from a bunch of scrubs.

Mariner Twitter heads are under the assumption a big trade is happening today.

They did the same when Haniger was traded.

Saw that.... I completely missed the pre warning with the Haniger trade.

It would be great if any of these guys could just put up consistent numbers.

They just go utterly useless for such large stretches... Moore had a 2-week period where he was the best player in baseball. He followed that up with a .495 OPS over 50 AB's during the stretch run that cost the M's their season. Haggerty was one of the worst players in baseball in April and May... was well above avg in August/Sept.

Just put up a .250/.330/.400 split that doesn't waver by more than 30 points in either direction and they'd be passable ballplayers.

But ofc... it's the Mariners and every player goes into a mental crisis mode at some point during the year. We can't have normal things let alone nice things.

You are right. On August 20th after a torrid streak Moore had a .918 OPS on the season. So what did they do? Instead of playing the hot hand every game they were obsessed with their platoon nonsense and over the final 42 days (6 weeks) of the season they gave him 14 starts and 68 PAs, barely over 2 starts a week and 10 PAs a week. And Wow, Shocker! He went into a slump! Who fucking knew??

They are complete idiots when it comes to playing time decisions.

I am going to laugh hard at all the dopes on M's twitter that are 100% convinced there will be an M's trade because a few rando bloggers posted the eyeballs emoji in the most likely event of.........no deal.

Yea don't see a trade happening could be wrong. Think people are reading into it too much!
