Grubb dumping DeBoer? LOL

Hey DT, this would make you pretty happy no?

Maybe the biggest question is who becomes the offensive coordinator, because Macdonald — the Baltimore Ravens’ defensive coordinator the past two seasons — said during his introductory news conference Thursday that he plans to call plays on defense.

And almost immediately after Macdonald’s news conference, an intriguing name emerged — former Washington offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb, who recently followed coach Kalen DeBoer to Alabama.

According to a report from Pro Football Talk, Grubb “could be joining” the Seahawks as offensive coordinator.

PFT reported that “while it’s not finalized, Grubb is definitely under consideration for the job.”

247sports.com also reported that Grubb is being considered for the job.

To take it another step further, if the Seahawks did land Grubb, how much more would it position them towards taking Michael Penix in the draft?

Depends on how much Macdonald thought of J.J. McCarthy while at Michigan. Either or, both would offer us good insight. However, that UW offense did nothing against that Michigan defense. I just love Penix though so much, I'm willing to overlook a bad game against a stacked defense.

Michigan didn't win because McCarthy was better. In fact, even though Penix was having a bad game for him, he still appeared the better QB. And I don't love Penix at all...

Penix reminded me a lot of the first three years of Wilson, only with a better arm and better touch on the ball. I think I'd still take Odunze over Penix if he's available at 16. The guy pulled in unbelievable balls thrown at him. He often made Penix look good!

I'm starting to see a lot of guys like Daniel Jeremiah mock Odunze over Malik Nabers. I'm beginning to rethink the Top WR ranks.

I don't follow the draft very closely. I glanced at a few mocks, surprised me the number of WR's it seemed at the top of the lists. Really have to go with the talent the draft offers. Is it heavy in WRs? As opposed to D line?
