Relying on Haniger and Canzone is my biggest issue.bpj wrote: ↑Sun Feb 04, 2024 7:35 pmThey've shuffled the deck chairs more than most teams, that's for sure.
Probably has as much to do with it being a stagnant market with few impact players available, because it hasn't been much of an improvement on paper.
If we could count on the new guys replacing the guys that left it would be one thing. But they replaced them with bigger question marks imo.
Garver.. Raley.. Haniger.. Polanco
Not one of them you can count on to actually produce.
Even when healthy, in almost 500 PAs the past 2 seasons Mitch has only put up .228/.686 Just God awful for a Corner OFer and Canzone was only .220/.657 his rookie year and looked like a Giraffe on ice skates in the OF. And Bellinger is still just sitting out there to fill that festering hole....
I am good with Raley. 118 games and just a couple minor injuries from a full season of 3+ WAR.
Polanco and Garver it comes down to the age old question that we always talk about. Are they injury prone or just unlucky and due for healthy seasons. We shall find out in a few months...
