Little more depth in the outfield - Mariners Claim Canaan Smith-Njigba.

https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2024/02/ ... ughan.html
Last February on its list to top Pittsburgh prospects, FanGraphs ranked outfielder Canaan Smith-Njigba 39th, three slots ahead of reliever Cody Bolton, whom the M's also acquired this offseason:

Smith-Njigba is the older brother of Seattle Seahawk wide receiver Jaxson Smith-Njigba.

Good to see we are gutting the Pirates farm system so they will be decimated of talent by the time we face them in the WS!

Trevor Bauer on Theo Von's podcast: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2vfc4fwC5Q

He says he'll sign for an incentive-based, minimum guaranteed contract. I would sign him. Mariners won't touch him with a ten-foot pole.
I would sign him just for the melt down on X....
The guy was completely exonerated and teams still won't touch him.

I wouldn't be surprised if MLB has worked behind the scenes to encourage teams not to sign him. I think there are people in MLB headquarters that are probably still angry that he forced them to take action on sticky stuff.

There's another issue, which is that since he was accused by the whore, two other women have apparently come forward with similar stories. But have those stories ever been published, or even investigated? How similar were they? Is this now just a case of "believe all women"?

How about in the clubhouse?
The kumbaya culture hasn't done anything for them. They signed Pollock amd La Stella to play the leader part last season, how'd that work out....

Tell the players to suck it up and stop being pussies.

None of them would probably care anyways, he makes the team better.
