I read it as him still having faith in Anderson where others have given up, what's wrong with that? Where does he say anything about it being racial? Says he'll ride Anderson until the wheels come off, okay. Where does he complain about his not being signed?
Anderson's temperament is probably the biggest issue in terms of his getting a contract

So Cameron is a fan of Tim Anderson, what's wrong with that? Anderson is an interesting case, Bellinger got another shot after two crappy seasons.
The 30-year-old's production fell off in 2023, however, as he hit just .245 with a .582 OPS. Over the previous four seasons, he was a .318 hitter with an .820 OPS

I think DT is probably right, that it's at least partially a black thing. American blacks around the game seem to have a chip on their shoulder because they don't dominate the sport. I mean, Cameron doesn't say that, but it seems pretty likely that's where he's coming from. Matt Chapman is the last guy I'd be after to improve the lineup, but there are still players out there that would make the team better.
It's frustrating to see them not take the extra step when they could be clear contenders with one or two moves.
They always stop one or two moves short. Probably because they think they only need to win 54% of their games.
