I can't say that I really like this. A 223 from an AR-15:
A .223-caliber or 5.56-millimeter bullet fired from an AR-15-style rifle can travel at speeds of around 3,200 feet per second (fps) when it leaves the muzzle. At 500 yards, the bullet can still be traveling at 1,660 fps. This speed can make the .223 potentially deadlier than the .22, which only leaves the muzzle at 2,690 fps and slows to 840 fps at 500 yards.

So at 130 yards (which is nearly point blank for this type of round) would still be traveling over 2,500 feet per second. That would mean it's there nearly as soon as it leaves the barrel.

I don't know how President Trump dodged this, but I would call it a miracle..... or just shithouse luck.
But you are not accounting the time to pull the trigger. Gunman sees his head in the first position. Starts to pull the trigger just as Trump beings to turn his head. His head is moving into the second position before the bullet leaves the barrel. Seems plausible.

Ironic that he was turning to look at the illegal alien graphic. I guess you could say illegals saved his life. lol
But I am accounting for it..... thus I said he pulled his shot or he is just a shitty shooter.
With this jackwang, I'd say it's probably both.
Or Trump already turned his head before the trigger was pulled.

Honestly, at 130 yards, the bullet is there instantly. If it was a 500 yard shot, this is very possible.

On a side note, bow hunting you have to account for the speed of sound because the arrow arrives after the "twang". So you must air 3-4 inches low because deer typically squat before they jump when they hear weird sounds.

https://www.foxnews.com/us/former-class ... oliticians

A classmate speaks up.

Part of the article.

BETHEL PARK, Pa. – A former classmate of would-be assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks says the 20-year-old gunman once mocked him over his support of former President Donald Trump and had a general disdain for mainstream politicians across the political aisle.

"I brought up the fact that I'm Hispanic and, you know, I'm for Trump. And he said, 'Well, you're Hispanic, so shouldn't you hate Trump?'" Vincent Taormina told Fox News Digital Tuesday. "No. He's great. He was a great president. He called me stupid – or insinuated that I was stupid."

It happened during a discussion in an English class during the 2016 campaign, he said. Trump, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Sen. Bernie Sanders were all still in the race.

"He just did not like politicians, especially with the choices that we had," Taormina said. "He did not like our politicians."

Taormina that Crooks was usually quiet, except on certain topics that he seemed passionate about, including math and politics. And on those issues, he could be "smug [and] arrogant," he added.

"They were definitely the type, and they did, make threats to shoot up our school," he said
.

Although he and other classmates suspected Crooks himself was behind a threat, he said he had no firm proof. But after the threat came in, the future would-be assassin didn't return to school for a few days.
Who's they?
So he was a Trump supporter who hated politicians.

Perhaps Trump said something he didn't like and because of his personality, it turned violent.

The type is the quiet kid who would get smug and arrogant about the things he cared about. She's saying he made threats to shoot up their school.
Donn, read the fucking article to answer your question.

Obviously you didn't read the article.... see the bold red area.

Oh wait, I read that wrong.

I thought the person being interviewed was saying he's a Trump supporter.

So it seems he's potentially more the type of an outcast who is disenfranchised by the whole political sphere. At least based on this account.

So based on this account, he's more of your outcast, Columbine type who wanted to maybe go out as a martyr. I could see that too.

And there's the deal with having explosives in his car. Interesting he had a bullet proof vest he didn't bother to wear. So they surmise he expected to survive. Which would speak to his state of mind. So it would seem he had other targets. The FBI is looking at it as a terrorist act. I could go along with that. A general hatred, hostility. He could have targeted who knows, his school.

Yeah it's very Columbine... bullied kid. Outcast. Obsession with guns. Made bombs.

Certainly a possibility.

After so many days since the assassination attempt, there's really only three explanations left as to why the likely motivation has not been revealed:

The reason he did it is because he hates Trump and did not want to see him elected, which makes not reporting it a coverup.

Revealing why he did it, if it were for some other reason, would force them to compromise other information they don't want revealed.

Or they truly do not know why he did it, which makes them utterly incompetent in light of what transpired.

Same group who couldn't find out who left the coke at the White House. You know when they are pointing fingers at local law enforcement, hiding from the public and showing a complete lack of candidness, talking about a 5% roof slope as an excuse, well, you decide. To me it looks like the fix is in.

And now Joe has Covid Lite and is flying back to Rehoboth. Love the contrast. Trump gets shot on Saturday and is back to work on Monday with the Republican party unified like I haven't seen it since Reagan. Meanwhile Joe's team announces he somehow came down with Mystery Covid and is off the campaign trail. I think he is done.

Why would anyone know why he did it other than if he told them, far as I know he didn't tell anyone. Ted kaczynski came up awhile ago on another thread. If he doesn't write his manifesto nobody would have had a clue to his thinking

Not wearing the vest means he expected to survive? I don't follow the logic there.

I wonder what the Iranian Mullahs are thinking after their operatives here in the U.S. couldn't get off a shot while some pimply-faced goofball almost killed Trump.

That he had equipment for some other act might indicate he thought he could survive the Trump attack. They are saying now the explosives didn't amount to much.
Authorities think it was probably intended as a distraction or to injure law enforcement rather than to cause a significant explosion.

And they don't think to keep Trump from appearing? That's unbelievable to me, why was Trump allowed to be on that stage. If Crooks had been successful, how would these issues look
During the briefing, it was said that the Secret Service had spotted Crooks around 10 minutes before Mr Trump took to the stage, and that 20 minutes passed between when he was spotted by snipers to when he fired shots.

In total, just over one hour passed between Crooks being photographed as a suspicious person and him firing the shots.
