And there's the deal with having explosives in his car. Interesting he had a bullet proof vest he didn't bother to wear. So they surmise he expected to survive. Which would speak to his state of mind. So it would seem he had other targets. The FBI is looking at it as a terrorist act. I could go along with that. A general hatred, hostility. He could have targeted who knows, his school.

Not wearing the vest means he expected to survive? I don't follow the logic there.

Can someone explain to me why "our country is lucky he is still alive"?

I get that his death might have sparked civil unrest/riots, but Trump is an oily snake (yes, Biden is a senile old fart).

I said the country is lucky he survived because I don't want to see political candidates assassinated, whether or not I disagree with them. I want to live in a civilized country where differences are addressed via discussion, deliberation, and voting ... not by violence.
