The #Seahawks are releasing WR/returner D'Wayne Eskridge, per sources.

The former 2nd-round pick and speedster should find a new home quickly.

I'm curious - what sort of new home can't wait to sign this train wreck?
Idiot teams that put stock in preseason punt returns. Good riddance. Could have picked Creed Humphries instead but Pete fell in love with a gadget again.
That punt return looked more like blind luck and bad coverage to me. Then he runs into the RB blowing up a play to lose any good taste in the coaches' minds.
Totally. Wow, he can run fast. Very rare skill in the NFL these days. Teams will be be falling all over themselves to sign a fast guy.

JS seemed to like him too
"He's just extremely explosive," general manager John Schneider said. "… 4.3-whatever (40-yard dash), ran a 10.5 (second) 100 meters in high school, 21.5 200 meters. Just a really explosive guy who can throttle his speed, tough. We're getting a guy that could play a number of different positions. He was a kickoff returner, could be a gunner. There's a really cool shot of him as a gunner against Central Michigan where he just throttled somebody. We've got a guy who's competitive, hungry, intense, he's got some dog to him."

Talking about a play he made against Central Michigan. My guess is this quote you found isn’t all that recent. Crazy, a GM selects a guy, and after the draft speaks highly of him. How shocking.

Obviously, they have concerns over Conner Williams' readiness or they wouldn't have kept Sundell. So, Seattle will likely open the season with Olu at center and projected starters Jenkins, Dodson, Fant and Nwosu nursing injuries.

Sheriff has already been snapped up by Carolina along with Rhattigan.

At least they were able to get Holani to the practice squadron.

Bummed. I was hoping both of them would land on the practice squad today. But really happy about Holani and think he will be a hometown favorite someday. Probably sooner rather than later, given our snakebit luck at keeping RBs upright.

He must really love him to cut him. Just wanted what was best for him. If you love something set it free....lol

We passed on Creed Humphries due to a rando punt return play vs. Central Michigan. Good God.

Also, glad Artie Burns is on the practice squad while he heals. Whenever he steps in, he seems to always perform.
