I just kept waiting for the Cardigan offense to come alive, and it never did. That was a HUGE defensive effort out there today against a red-hot team. Geno sucks, but today's game was a blast. Great weather too, only a slight drizzle.

My wife and I are up here for the week from SoCal. It was her first Hawk home game. We saw them beat the Chargers at SoFi in 2022 and she was amazed at how different the crowds were. Our first Kraken home game will be Wednesday

When are you guys coming up to Moorpark to visit us?

We definitely need to get up there, come up for a game on a non-tournament weekend, especially if it's a playoff game.

"These decisions aren't just like me just sitting there being like 'I need a linebacker,'" Macdonald said Monday. "In Baltimore, the player acquisition is unique to them versus how we do it here. I think how we handled it here was 'Hey, there's an opportunity to get a great inside backer that will really help our defense move forward.'

"Talk about force multiplier, things like that, and a person that we really feel strong about in Ernest [Jones IV]. It just so happened that adding a great player at that position at that point in time was going to be great for us. Obviously, given returns for both units, it's been good. I think the mentality of always trying to get better, always chasing these edges of how to how to improve, that's the important thing."

Thought that was kinda interesting, JS being driven more by the opportunity to pick up a great player than just casting around for another linebacker. Now they are going to have to pay him. I really don't see JSs approach changing terms of roster construction. He isn't going to suddenly spend on a pair of guards. It will be interesting to see what happens. I could see them intent on developing the guards they have. Saw a mock draft where they predicted JS taking a guard in the first round. Actually a tackle that gets moved to guard. I doubt that happens
