Understood he was leading the league in double teams something like thatHasslecracked wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2025 11:27 pmI agree. Whenever Murphy is in, he’s hardly taking on double teams. Is frequently winning 1 on 1s. No sacks or QB hits. Hopefully he’s just getting up to leauge speed and next year hits the ground running.

I’m sure he got double teamed more than Big Cat.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2025 12:49 amUnderstood he was leading the league in double teams something like thatHasslecracked wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2025 11:27 pmI agree. Man you are correct. I do trust John faaaaarrrr more than DipotoDavidGee24 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2025 12:44 amIt's like the last few Mariner seasons, isn't it? The last few seasons for both teams have been so eerily similar. But at least the Hawks actually make an effort.Gametime wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2025 12:34 amOur new mantra “Good, but not good enough”DavidGee24 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2025 12:24 amJimmy G had a better game today than most of Stafford's games this season. I think that's becauae we kind of phoned it in too.
10-7. Not bad, just not good enough.

Terms of JS he kills it on the character front, you really root for the guy, deal with his son and all that, nothing but respect for the man
Re: Seahawks vs Hams game thread 1/5/25
John has his issues. He can’t really evaluate oline. Solid to good everywhere else. Dipoto isn’t good at offensive players. He has too many blind spots. John doesn’t have as many.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2025 1:24 amTerms of JS he kills it on the character front, you really root for the guy, deal with his son and all that, nothing but respect for the man

JS has a definite oline strategy, be up to him to defend it. He might argue the general success of the team. I don't see him suddenly changing it. I don't see him investing a lot in the line. It will be more expectation of continued development of what's there
Re: Seahawks vs Hams game thread 1/5/25
If so. Then that’s an idiotic stance. The last 8 years shows what that plan has produced.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2025 2:09 amJS has a definite oline strategy, be up to him to defend it. He has to change, the plan has failed. Even our best guy and a high draft pick isn’t elite. Lucas is good not great. Then the rest. Lewis who is gone, etc.
The drafting on the line is below average. The development is too. He has to change.

Here's JS talking about it, to me it sounds a lot like what we would hear from tom cable. I don't think cable was really an outlier

Well ESPN doesn't agree with me so maybe there's hope
Big prediction for the offseason: With his seat getting hotter in the post Pete Carroll-era, general manager John Schneider will buck his career trends and start investing heavily in the offensive line. The Seahawks will spend on Ben Bredeson and James Daniels to secure their guard spots and add Mekhi Becton to potentially kick back out to tackle. I'm not sure it will actually work, but they'll start spending, for sure. -- Solak
