My top 10:

1. Cole Young
2. Colt Emerson
3. Lazaro Montes
4. Gabriel Gonzales (Polanco trade)
5. Felnin Celstin
6. Harry Ford
7. Tyler Locklear (stunk it up in MLB and then faded in AAA)
8. Jonatan Clase (Traded)
9. Cole Phillips (TJ in ST :? )
10. Prelander Berroa (Traded)
I forgot about Prelander. He did pretty well for the Sox.. Certainly better than Santos did for us.

Not bad at all. I'd have a few disagreements but a perfectly reasonable assessment.

Seems the "Experts" are finally clueing into the fact that Harry Ford was not worth a 1st round pick about 3 years after I did. If Emerson doesn't start hitting HRs at least 1 per 30 PAs he will endure the same fate.

Who is your pick for standout hitter of the minors this year?

I'm going with Celesten. I think he's jumping 2 levels with a full, healthy, DOMINANT, campaign. Can't wait to see video/read reports on him when things start up in March

Can't wait to see how Arroyo handles Dickey Stephens...

yeah, Arroyo is super intriguing. All the major evaluators overlooked the kid. All he does is rake with big time pop you didn't see coming from his frame.

Very possible if he can stay on the field.

Sleeper 2nd base candidate; don't know if he's been talked about. He's my sleeper going into spring training.

5'8" left hand hitting, 2B/3B Nick Dunn has no MLB experience and he'll be 28 on January 29th so something has prevented him from getting the call up while in the Cardinal's org. Nolan Gorman has blocked him but Gorman K's a shit-ton and had a down season. However he has power and Dunn has not.

Dunn has put up OPS of .855 and .842 the last two milb seasons. He k's minimally and BB's almost more than he k's. He appears to be an on-base savant! Comparing him with the 5'7" RH batting Ryan Bliss, they had similar AAA seasons. Bliss had an .833 OPS and has the 50 SB wheels, which Dunn seems to have no larcenous tendencies.

I hope both are invited to spring training and get an opportunity.

Maybe Dipoto believes 2B is covered with DMo, Solano, Bliss, Dunn, Mastrobuoni et al, and thinks 2B (and 3B-Shenton?) is NOT a $$$$$ trade/free agent need.
~
Just think: 5'8" Dunn at 3B, 5'7" Bliss at 2B and 5'8" DonSo at 1B, the M's might have the Smurfyest infield in MLB history. If the 5'8" Samad Taylor passes thru waivers, well, that's just a 'small' bonus. Down on the farm, middle/utility infielders Michael Arroyo is 5'8" Leo Rivas is 5'8", Brock Rodden is 5'7".
~
I miss the original Smurfette, 5'8" (exaggerated an inch or 3) Chone Figgins as much as the the next poster here  , but geez, is this the next audition site of Munchkins for the Wizard of Oz reboot?
~
My main reason for this oddball, insulting, height-challenged rant is that I hope 6'4" Luke Raley is the main 1st baseman. I bristled at the thought of FA signee, 5'8" Donovan Solano, getting 1B play. That extra 12 inches of reach and 12" of height will potentially make numerous out differences per game.
~
There, I'm Dunn.
Rocky Colavito is a Hall of Famer in my book!
