Even the "Great Cringe"??? lolDavidGee24 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 08, 2025 7:46 pmAgree, Geno did a decent job in Seattle and probably deserves a top-five Seahawk QB ranking (with Wilson, Hasselbeck, Krieg, and Moon...no, not Zorn), but he peaked two years ago and the Hawks only need to look across the street to see what happens when you hang onto or acquire players that are past their prime.D-train wrote: ↑Tue Apr 08, 2025 6:17 pmI accidentally deleted auroraave's post. When Cringeruss got injured (no, not his ego) Geno came in and the offense immediately caught fire. Suddenly, everyone not named Russell Wilson understood Cringeruss's blatant limitations, in dire contrast to his cringy claim to be unlimited.
Seattle finally booted the Great Cringe. In his first game as the Seattle starter, Geno beat the Great Cringe - thus cementing his legacy in Seattle forever. After that game, he went on to set the franchise record for passing yards - in his first season as the starter - thus kicking The Great Cringe even further into the rear view mirror. Another notch on his legend status, further mending the open would left by TGC.
people can bitch and moan all day long - they are going to no matter what - but Geno's first season success was the absolute salve on the wound caused by the exit of the Great Cringe. He proved Wilson was more than just expendable, he exposed the Great Cringe - to the entire league - for the narcissistic me-first fuck head he was when he left.
I don't particularly care about the last two seasons, what he did that first year was much much much much needed. I love the guy just for that. His limitations don't bother me - he's human. I hope he does well in LV. Anyone that has any hate towards Geno (really, towards anyone), should really take a long hard look in the mirror. Dude salvaged the franchise and got Seattle out from the (tiny) shadow of the Great Cringe - and exposed him to the entire league. Fuck yeah!
Now it's Darnold's turn. God speed!

Are you leaving Socal?? Already tired of the sun and beautiful weather?

If Geno were a top-10 quarterback, he would have gotten a much bigger contract from the Fraiders.acctingman wrote: ↑Tue Apr 08, 2025 10:39 pmif mediocre is top 10 player, then I'll take that all day long.Seattle or Bust wrote: ↑Mon Apr 07, 2025 11:16 pmI've never seen a fan base more obsessed with such a mediocre player.

Re: Geno explains why he wanted out
This report is not surprising to me. It's confirmation this guy is not that bright. Not in reality humble, though
he often put on a decent show talking after-game. He's emotionally fragile. You could see it on the sidelines
with his body language.
I don't know how much authority Brady has with the Raiders, but if it's significant, I think he will see through
Geno's act pretty quick and they will move on from him.

Brady seems to have a fair amount of authority. I'm gonna guess he is already familiar with Geno
Geno Smith told SI.com's Albert Breer that he met with Las Vegas Raiders' minority owner Tom Brady at the NFL legend's Miami home and discussed a number of topics, including football, longevity and what it takes to be a quarterback.
"We sat and talked for hours," he said. "You're sitting there, you're like, 'Man, it's Tom Brady.' But then, again, I mean, he's got a hand in the organization that I'm playing for. There's a lot of responsibility there."
The two had previously spoken on a FaceTime call, discussing how Smith had continued to evolve into his 30s, something Brady admired.

The very first one for me was Pete O'Brien. That could flat out couldn't hit while he was here. I know it was a long time ago, so there wasn't really a lot of ways to gauge the fans opinions. But it sure seemed like everyone loved the guy.DavidGee24 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 08, 2025 7:48 pmIt would be neat to make up a list of active Seattle athletes who the fanbase loves even though they suck. At this time I'd have J.P. Crawford at the top of the list.
WAR wasn't a thing back then, so I just remember looking at the back of his baseball card, and seeing the stats posted the few times they were on TV. But the guy posted the following WAR his last four years, 3 in Texas and 1 in Cleveland.
4.5
3.3
3.1
1.6
While in Seattle?

Dude was dreadful, and he came here, as I recall, with a lot of fanfare.
But Vin Baker was the ONE for me. Basically we got rid of Kemp for him, everyone seemed to ooh and aah over him, and DAMN was he soft.

There aren't even ten teams right now that would sit their guy to start Geno! You realize he went to Vegas, not a contender, right?

John Elway...another Hall of Fame QB that was fantastic at recognizing and bringing in amazing QB talent. Oh, wait.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Wed Apr 09, 2025 3:20 amBrady seems to have a fair amount of authority. I'm gonna guess he is already familiar with Geno

This thought that because Brady is involved the QB position is solved in Vegas is funny. The ShowGirls, I mean Raiders, would be better off if Brady played QB right now.
