Re: Thread for draft simulations:
This draft was shocking. The NYG GM-bot offered 34 and next years #1 for #18....how could I not take that? I took Hampton because K9 is always hurt and in the last year of his contract. Shough adds to a packed QB room, but with Darnold essentially one a 1 year deal, I figured the more competition for Howell the better.
Just remember, getting the Giants #1 pick next year allows us to root against Russell again

Not sure why that matters. I say we suck for Arch. I'd be fine with it...and even if they have to pay Darnold a year and he can't beat out Manning? So be it. We paid Jamaal a shit ton of money to not play.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Fri Apr 18, 2025 5:07 pmDarnold is essentially on a two year contractBil522 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 18, 2025 3:10 pmThis draft was shocking. Hey, how about this, fieldgulls, JS trades up...
https://www.fieldgulls.com/2025/4/16/24 ... r-shows-up
To draft...Colston Loveland!Seahawks trade pick #18, #92 and a 2026 3rd round pick to the Miami Dolphins for pick #13 and a 2026 5th round pick
I believe that the Seahawks want to select a TE with their first round pick. This is a deep draft at the position, but there are a clear top two that are easily first round grades, Tyler Warren and Colston Loveland. While Warren definitely has some Rob Gronkowski comparisons, Loveland shows a lot of Brock Bowers and Sam LaPorta to his game.
In this mock, Warren went No. 10 to Chicago, and Seattle needed to move up ahead of Indianapolis if they wanted to get their hands on Loveland. In doing this deal with Miami, Seattle is giving up a late third and the potential of whatever next year’s third round picks could look like. In return, Seattle is getting a true blue chip prospect that allows offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak to run his 12 personnel with a dynamic Michigan combo in the TE room.

Somebody at Field Gulls has a serious hard-on for Loveland. Unless he projects as a George Kittle level talent i wouldn't trade up to get him.
Here's where some of the draft evaluation sites rank him:
NFLDraftbuzz: 24
Drafttek: 29
NFLDraftscout: 25
ESPN: 10
CBSsports : 12

If he was so good, they'd have started him ahead of Ewers.

I like this draft as well. Sanders fell down to me and why not?

Re: Thread for draft simulations:
Cause otherwise they’d win a Super Bowl next year? The point the second year of zdarnold’s contract won’t keep them from drafting a QB next year and it might not keep them from drafting one this year.Seattle or Bust wrote: ↑Mon Apr 21, 2025 3:43 am

The Simulator is still active. It autofills the first round with the actual picks.
