Basically they got a sure starter in Zabel, a combine monster in Emmanwori, a good receiving TE, and a bunch of junk that will never contribute much towards anything. Not a fan of this draft overall.

Why would Cabeldue start ahead of Haynes?
Because Haynes is horrible. He couldn't even be out Bradford who was also horrible.
They like Haynes though. Think he'll thrive in the new system.
I wouldn't hold your breath. Reminds me of the M's giving Julio more ST PAs to get him off to a hot start. lol

As a homer, I like this draft a lot! I don't know how you could have axed-em to do more! They've basically remade the offense on the fly with Geno and DK and Tyler gone, new OC again, a commitment to competition on the oline with pick 18, a monster fullback, a potentially all-world elite upside QB who needs coaching and time, a sackmaker on the dline, a top safety they traded up for, a punt returner and burner WR with good hands unlike DK, the kind of hybrid TE we always need, never use and never get, and a depth RB who can pound the ball, likes contact, and can catch. To me, with a decent offensive scheme and an oline for once, my god, I feel like we have a plan and an arsenal, and a D that is already scary.

Also, this draft creates crazy positional competition almost everywhere. They'll sort it out.

This looks like very good draft where we stayed flexible, addressed many concerns, and we still have UDFA. Fun couple weeks ahead while all this shakes out.

Good summary Mao. the other thing to get excited about is the success this OC had with Taysom Hill and Juwan Johnson last year before they all got hurt (40 some points week 1!) and realizing he ccould do the same with perhaps superior talent in Milroe and Arroyo.
But the key for me all comes back to Day 1 - by sticking to the plan and addressing the one biggest need then, they were free to get creative adding talent Friday trading up for Nick and buying the lottery pick named Milroe. then to get solid depth with Mills, Cabeldue, Horton and Martinez was a bonus, the latter two of whom could develop into starters.
now go get stackhouse to plug the A gap!

There are a bunch of High upside guys in the back end. And if even one of them reaches their potential will make Schneider look like a genius. And that's where you SHOULD be drafting them anyways. Seattle's front office sent a message. We are going to take bruising, physical, dominating players. This felt like such a Baltimore Ravens draft. Hats off to our front office.
