Bowl Season

Post by Michael K. » Wed Jan 01, 2020 6:51 pm

Utah and USC sure didn’t help our cause much in this Conference. At one point in the SC game I heard the announcer say “Utah is having a hard time matching up with Iowa’s speed.” In what world did anyone ever think they would hear those words uttered?

I was at dinner with the family last night, and the game was on in the bar. My son could see the game from our table, and I swear every five minutes he would shake his head and say “Texas scored again.” My response was always, how’d they get the ball back already!

What sucks about Bowl season is in years past when the Big 10 or SEC has gotten dominated we have heard the the Bowls don’t matter, they didn’t care, blah blah. But when the PAC stinks everyone points to that as proof to the PAC sucking!

This puts us in the awkward position of having to root for Oregon today. :?

By the way, for anyone who doesn't think Herbert is mobile, check out his two TD runs vs the Badgers.

By today's standards he isn't mobile. Which is why the 1st round talk about Eason floors me.

Does anyone not think Herbert is mobile? He can run just fine. Issue is he can't hit a man 10-feet in front of him.

Apart from a good opening drive, Oregon's O didn't do shit. They had just over 200 yards... first drive was 75... so in about 55 minutes of play they managed to get 125 more yards. Herbert is not good, and I'm going to laugh at whoever takes him. He's honestly a worse Jake Locker.

They were saved in the first half by 2 phantom holding calls on big runs from Taylor and a totally horrific offensive pass interference call. The refs fucked Wisconsin.

He's a better scrambler than the majority of NFL quarterbacks. But yeah, Eason will need a good offensive line and to work with a position coach that has a clue unlike what he had at UW.
