Time to harness the power of the Dark Side GT 5/16 (SEA @ SD)

Post by Sibelius Hindemith » Fri May 16, 2025 6:21 pm

It has become clear this past week that Seth did not take his lessons with Yoda seriously enough and his ability to alter the outcome of games to the Mariners' benefit is insufficient. Therefore i have appealed to emissaries from the Galactic Empire to lend their support by using the dark side of the Force to help the Mariners win more games. In return, i have pledged solidarity with the minions of Emperor Palpatine and allegiance to the Sith Lords. Also, by posting in this thread you my fellow forumites agree to serve the interests of the Empire. (In other words you are going over to the dark side).

Now that that little disclaimer is out of the way, on with the baseball stuff...

Oh yeah, almost forgot...

Well we look f**ked for this one.

I am going to tonight's game and again on Sunday. No way am I going to Saturday night's game. I am boycotting it.

That should teach MLB - if they can't sell a Saturday night game to a Fkn tourist then it's time to abandon them and play them in the afternoon.

That will work, I'm sure :D

And that gives another air to Williamson as it should be. His defense was so hyped yet I haven't seen anything that's even above average yet.

Mariners have to find a way to grind out some wins on this road trip after an abysmal homestand. Rumor is Kirby may be available on the back end of the trip in Houston. Until then, have to find a way. Can't do another 1-8 trip like they did last August which ultimately cost Scott Servais his job.

Let's Go Mariners!!

Have fun Mike. Hopefully the Mariners can win for you. Nothing worse than seeing your team lose on the road which I have unfortunately done many times.

I was in Kansas City in 2011 and chose to go to the game Felix was pitching thinking that was their best chance to win a game. Boy was I wrong. Felix was awful that day and had to sit through a 7-1 Mariners drubbing.

So their starting pitcher as a 27 year old rookie in 2024 was dogshit as a relief pitcher with a 5.21 ERA and 1.521 WHIP, made five starts in AAA ball this season and was even more dogshit with a 6.38 ERA and 1.542 WHIP, gets called up and has thrown 14 1/3 scoreless innings in two starts including a complete game shutout of the Crockies. Don't ask me how baseball works, I gave up trying to figure it out long ago.

As much as I'd love to drive down to San Diego this weekend and catch a game, only tonight's game has any kind of a good feel to it.

Thank you Sibelius Hindemith for taking weirdness to a whole nother level for me in the forum.
May this be a long winning streak for you Sir!

With that said this is a crazy night for NY sports. Mets vs. the Yanks. Knicks at MSG vs. the Celts for game 6.

Fernando Tatis Jr. is one of my favorite players to watch. He so long and lanky and athletic.
He's no longer a SS and plays RF but he can freakin do everything and it's fun to watch.

With that said I hope we kick their asses!!! LET's FREAKIN GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Apparently JP's shoulder isn't "tight" anymore.
