I didn’t have a scholarship offer to play at UW for either baseball or golf. They had a top 3 program for golf in the country when I graduated HS. I had scholarship offers to multiple schools in smaller conferences for golf on the west coast but I decided to try my hand professionally. When you do that and earn money, you lose you amateur status and can’t play collegiately. My loss I guess.

I did have offers to pitch in college, but not for scholarships. It wasn’t my main sport. I had a family member who played baseball at UW, however.
