I wouldn't be that concerned about Gilbert's drop in velo in AAA.

Why would he go 100% for multiple innings in games that don't matter?

Kirby's struggles are the biggest concern for me. He's not fooling anyone.

We aren't hording prospects are we, you want dipoto to swing a blockbuster, those are all surplus pieces terms of the mariners needs. Want to go to a WS, that's the kind of deal we should be looking at isn't it?

Judging by the past few weeks? We are going to be sellers and not buyers anyway. I'm sure they will do a better job at the upcoming rebuild than they did at the last one, right? Never mind, we can have all the young talent in the world, but since they won't spend to add to it? Who cares? This exercise is a waste of time. We won't add anyone of substance, and they only reason they won't be sellers is if they are afraid of the consequence when fans get pissed. But, does that matter? Offer for people to bring their dogs to the park, bobble head give aways....Seattle fans eat that shit up, and they will pay the bloated prices for tickets, parking, food and beer...and the Mariner ownership group will be winners even though they are losers.

Since escaping embarrassment on May 21st and winning the serries against the White Sox 2 to 1? They are 4 and 8 including going 1 and 3 against the team now ahead of them in the Division standings. They are in the middle of two bad losses to Baltimore, and I doubt that gets any better down the road. Most of you guys talked about it all off season, how you can't expect the Pitching to continue this way, to always stay healthy, and now look at it? They aren't winning those games 2 to 1 anymore, and when they need offense? They added guys like Telez, Donnie Barrels and Polanco! Fuck them, but do they care? Nope.

Tyson Miller is available again. Just dfa'd by the Cubs.
He had a short stint with Seattle and pitched pretty well as a reliever.
Mariners traded him to the Cubs for infielder Jake Slaughter who is ?nowhere? this year.
I was pissed when the trade went down but is he worthy to re-sign?
Miller just got off the 60 day DL
"Miller started a rehab assignment a few weeks ago and has tossed 13 Triple-A innings with a 2.77 ERA. However, his 19% strikeout rate and 15.5% walk rate in that sample are both poor numbers. He’s only been averaging 88.6 miles per hour on his fastball during this rehab, a drop from last year’s 89.6 mph, though that’s perhaps understandable for a guy working back from a long absence".
