Can't believe Julio came out of the game for that.
Have you ever taken a 100 mph baseball there?
I have. It hurts. But coming out of the game wouldn't have crossed my mind.

I think Julio realized his job as a runner was to look in at the batter as he stole third, he realized he'd made a mistake, then he bitched out and acted incapacitated.

I think Julio is a midwit personally. He's just Taijuan Walker v2.0.

I’m sure when he couldn’t lift and feel his foot the medical team made the decision to keep him out. This seems to be you just hating on him and looking for another thing to hate him for.

Weird take.

He made a stupid play (again), then pussed out while being one of our highest paid players and his pussing out eventually cost us the game.

Maybe I expect $20M+ players to at least get the basic fundamentals right while other Mariner fans just want the red hydro boat to win...

I'm not going to speculate on how badly Julio was hurt at that moment, but it is a weird thing about baseball when you see guys run into the wall and then fall down and act like they just got shot while the ball is laying near them.

Never said it wasn’t a bad play, but you know how conservative this team and medical staff is with injuries. To speculate that he wussed out just seems like you trying to find another thing to make him look bad.

Any team that would allow their multimillion dollar investment stay in the game after taking that shot would be incompetent. Straight to x-rays and some treatment was the right call. I suppose he could have spit on it and decided it’s just a little owie but why not be sure. Ask Yordan Alvarez how well roughing things out worked…

Are you under the impression I don't like him?

My only problem with Julio is with management for paying him $20M years before they would have.

He doesnt seem very smart and makes too many stupid mistakes, but haven't made a habit of complaining about him, because he's far from being the teams problem. Other than representing 13.2% of the overall payroll, which still obviously isn't his fault.

That's a really fair take.

It's not Julio's fault that the guy that replaced him in the game blew it, it's Dipoto's.

I mean, dude was hit and went out of the game and you jump to calling him a dimwit and acting like he faked it. That certainly doesn’t seem fair. Don’t blame him for managements fuckups. He’s out there trying his best, even if you don’t like the way he does it. He’s not the one that didn’t add anyone else around him cal worth a shit.

I mean, dude was hit because he didn't look in at the batter when stealing 3B. Pretty dumb.

I called him a dimwit because he makes more than his share of mistakes and doesnt seem to learn from them.

He's good at baseball. But he doesn't play smart baseball. Fortunately he's still youngish and can still get better. And smarter.
