Williamson started off pretty good, went through a slump, but has gone back to pretty good again recently.

He has held his own. Defense has looked spotty though

I refuse to root for Tellez.
He is NOT the solution at first.
Unless he is hitting a home run he is imho a defensive weakness at first.
Compare his stats to Naylor.
What a difference that one move coulda made on this club.
Is Naylor some wizard first baseman? No.
But he gets on base and is a clutch hitter.
Almost a 2 WAR difference between the two.
I consider both of them old men at this point.

There is a trade idea out there about trading both "Naylor" and "Geno" back to the Mariners for a young arm and a prospect.
They would both be rentals but that is all we really need right now to bridge the gap. imho.
