Gabe... just 10 pitches to strike out the side.
I'd say say Dan made a wise baseball decision.

This Royals team is not good. We should wax them over 4 games. No lie

He he did!!! I would have taken Kirby out also. Don't want shoulder hurting again. 85+ is perfect with 4 run lead.

What a game. Pitching and offense. Cal adding on knowing Judge was creeping in wow

Dan going to a worked pen in the 7th when he doesn't need to. smh. I don't want to hear anymore whining about having an overworked pen. You do this to yourself Dan
Well Kirby was nearing 90 and with his injury risk it was a smart move. Don't make him throw more then he should. Sure Kirby was fine with it.
You don't take out starters when they are dealing. You don't give a team struggling to breath offensively a fresh oxygen tank. You know how this game is. Hitters breath a sigh of relief when they see a new arm out there after the one before was a nightmare

True but Kirby also had a injury to start the season so why risk it having him go back out when is almost at 90. If it was a 1 run game sure but 4 run lead hand it off. Bullpen has been solid.

Yay Thornton after 2 tough innings yesterday classic. Dan wants them back in this game. He wants an excuse to use Munoz!!!

Cole Young looks a bit like the guy from Gremlins.

And then Speier eviscerated 3 batters.
You don't know if Kirby thought he had gone as far as he thought he could tonight. Maybe he did want to go more. KC could have banged him around.
