I'm about to hit the road for 11-12 hours driving back to Olympia. No time for fun!

What a horrible free agent signing by the A'ss. Signing a pitcher who went through a three-year stretch where he only pitched 18 innings, then only 191 over the next two and was a train wreck in the second one (2023), and even in 2024 was average at best. And nobody was even saying it was a questionable signing, it was all wow, look at what the A'ss did!
This season he's got a 4.95 ERA, 1.348 WHIP, and only 6.6 Ks per nine innings. YUCK. But unfortunately, we all know what that usually means...
Meanwhile, we've got Evans and his pitch-to-contact approach that worked for Castillo last night but almost certainly won't tonight. I don't know why Evans is a highly regarded prospect when his minor league stats are blah and his strikeout rates there and in the majors are abysmal. But at least he's better than Hancock.

I saw this blurb in an article about what it is like in front offices during the trade deadline. This came from a former Red Sox exec...
In 2009, we had a three-team deal almost done: Adrian Gonzalez from San Diego to Seattle, Felix Hernandez from Seattle to us, and several young players, including Josh Reddick, Daniel Bard, and Justin Masterson, going to the Padres.
Seattle’s GM slept on it, then decided he couldn’t move the King. Just like that, a deal that could have changed three franchises was dead.

No Wilson at SS tonight for the A’s so that gives Evan’s one break

Cant take Cantzone out of the lineup. Polanco can have a day off let Raley have a start its a shocker he hasent played. Rumors are he has been dealing with a hand injury. Not enough to ILseattlefan-daBronx wrote: ↑Wed Jul 30, 2025 1:23 amWhere the HELL is Luke Raley??? Hasn't been in 5 games???

I dont know where the Mystery is. Naylor took his spot and he's not hitting better than Polanco or Canzone at the moment where do you think he should be playing.seattlefan-daBronx wrote: ↑Wed Jul 30, 2025 1:23 amWhere the HELL is Luke Raley??? Hasn't been in 5 games???

Life comes at you fast.
Chris Flexen had an ERA of about 0.75 over 28 innings in May and June... gets DFA'd today after a 7.47 ERA July.
