Ryan Sloan has now jumped up to 5 in the mlb prospect list. He’s the #9 RHP and #59 overall, 1 spot behind Arroyo at 58. Mariners have 8 guys in the top 70
Sounds great but the A's call up Kurtz and he is Babe Ruth Jr. and we call up Cole Young and he is a noodle bat. Our farm is so overrated.

Tyler Locklear was pulled in the fifth inning of Triple-A Tacoma’s game against Sugar Land, which sparked speculation about his potential to be called up to the Seattle Mariners. Locklear,

Where does he play?

1B lefty on the mound. I see that he exclusively -plays 1B now. I thought they were going to go after BP help and do BP and 2B and just shove lock at 3B but maybe not so much.
Really too bad he couldn't stick at 3B but do you honestly think they would have him exclusively at 1B in the minors and then suddenly stick him at 3 after he has had ZERO reps there in years??? Sometimes I wonder how your brain works man. lol

We’ve traded a lot of the guys that I thought had the highest ceilings. Marte is doing pretty well when he plays, and Gabriel Gonzalez is killing it this year in AA. Young I don’t think was ever expected to be more than a good solid middle of the infield player. Edwin arroyo was also further along but had injury. He’s hit well, but somehow lost power after being out with injury last year. There just haven’t been a lot of bats the last few years that were that highly touted as big bats, other than maybe Locklear.

Let’s see how Laz, Emerson and Arroyo develop before we say it’s overrated though. Matters aren’t going to sign big babes, so their only hope is to keep these guys and hope enough of them develop at the big league level.

I know the M's were in it right to the end for Duran, I wonder who they offered?

I am doing a daily update on X to assess if Prioritizing Geno over Duran was the right decision. I believe it was.
