Wouldn't they just platoon and have Robles play against Lefties? It's only in 25 at bats, but Canzone has an OPS of .699 versus Lefties and .882 against Righties. All his homers and all but one of his doubles are against Righties.

I posed that question to my 545 followers. (I am flabbergasted that I have that many )

Last year Robles did better against righties than lefties, but the rest of his career he was better against lefties. I don’t think he should be a platoon against lefties only, but they could use another righty in the lineup against lefties. Hopefully he can come back and help in September

Yes last season was crazy for him. .901 vs. .648 OPS but he was back to normal before he got hurt this season.

Then why take him in the second round, you can't argue he hasn't met expectations.

He is the only viable option in FA and in July we learned there are no good 3Bs available in trade so yeah it is Geno or Bust.
