Thursday night Special Hawks vs. Cards game thread

Post by D-train » Thu Sep 25, 2025 5:07 pm

The dreaded Thursday night game. Factory workers forced to work 12 hour days 6 days a week in the textile mills in NYC in the 1880s and live in overcrowded dilapidated tenement buildings. Tiny children forced to work in Factories in China making Nike running shoes before they are even old enough to go on roller coasters at Disney World Asia. Coal miners in West Virginia in the 1930s that went to work in the mines know there was a 57% chance they would be buried alive in a cave in or explosion. None of them, none of of them had to endure anything close to the absolute hell that modern day NFL players have to endure forced to be paid millions to play in a football game for 3 HOURS only 100 HOURS after they just played in their last football game.

I kindly request that before your first bite of your decadent lunch today you take a moment to reflect on what these brave young Warriors will sacrifice tonight for our amusement. Thank you.

Go Hawks!!!!!!

It's mainly about the quality of football.

Here's an old thread about it...

Let me know during the game tonight when you see a play that would have been better or less sloppy if we played on Sunday instead.

You really think working in a factory is the same as getting hit by a 300 pound football player repeatedly?

There's an argument that its the following Sunday game it impacts performance wise rather than the Thursday game
