They need to let loose and stop holding the team back with conservative BS.

Darnold can throw the football. Fucking let him.
The passing game is great and the run game is mid at best but they insist on forcing the run like it is some religious ritual that can't be abandoned. Why?
Because running the football wins in the long run. The better they get at it, which requires actually running plays in games, the better they will do it. They do need a RG....Anthony Bradford is the Bobby Ayala of the O-line

yeah, its a system that works on a relationship between running and passing plays, its still a work in progress. The rushing yardage isn't there yet. But i would argue the relationship is benefiting the passing game in that it makes it easier to keep the qb upright. I think you are seeing with mostly the same offensive line that play calling can help accomplish that

You want to run?

Soften them by hitting on some pass plays.

AZ dared us to throw it and we just kept crashing into an 8-man box.

ESPN's overreactions...
The Seahawks are the team to beat in the NFC West
Seattle opened the week with a Thursday night division victory in Arizona, running its winning streak to three games after opening with a tough Week 1 loss to the 49ers. The Seahawks are 3-1 and tied with the Rams and 49ers for first place in the division after the Rams toughed out a comeback victory over the Colts on Sunday and the Niners turned the ball over four times in a loss to Jacksonville. Arizona is 2-2 and in fourth place in what looks to be a very fun division.

Verdict: NOT AN OVERREACTION

I said before the season, and I still believe now, that the NFC West's four teams could finish in any order and I wouldn't consider it a surprise. The Seahawks' defense looks outstanding in its second season under Mike Macdonald. Entering Sunday night's game, only the Packers and Browns were allowing fewer yards per play this season than Seattle's 4.5. Quarterback Sam Darnold is playing well enough to make you believe last season in Minnesota wasn't a fluke and that moving on from Geno Smith wasn't a mistake.

The Seahawks might have been a little bit overlooked in the preseason when we discussed the NFC West, but they are clearly a team to take seriously.

This is the correct response. It's sad to read these silly over the top reactions. They always have to be extreme - Seattle is the worst, Seattle is the best, Sam Darnold, three games in, has his Canton jacket at the tailors. Never any nuance, just hot takes by the stupid and braindead desperately trying to grow their 'follower' base while making the world dumber one moronic post at a time. Seattle is good, we all knew they were building something interesting. This is my 'hot take' on these utterly embarrassing 'hot takes'. Just STFU with this nonsense and bring back actual journalism and analysis so we can learn something. These extreme views all the time - it's what is wrong in the world.

I don't know, I think the consensus was that we would be good to great on defense, and that Sam was a game manager that just might fit this system. The questions were Darnold and the playmakers outside. Darnold has been real good, and JSN has answered the call, but we still aren't all that good running the football, there aren't many weapons in the pass game besides JSN, and they obviously don't trust Darnold. So? We are an eyelash from being 4 and 0, and an eyelash from being 2-2. Kind of the majority of what I read all off season.

We get so pissed off at what the National media has to say. I think it's because we spend too much time listening to the blind homers that blabber on and on on here locally. Every Pitcher that shuts down the Mariners is the next Cy Young and every defense that slows down our offense is the 85 Bears....if you listen to the local media. There is a lot of season left, but I have a gut feeling we are going to be complaining about the offense most of the year. They don't have the personnel to play the way they want to, but they don't care.

Having only JSN outside is going to ensure that teams dare us to throw, and MM wants to run it, Kubiak knows what happens to OCs that don't run it. So? There is data to suggest that you don't have to run the ball all that effectively to have the play action game work, it is just running the ball period. So I get it, to a point. But when are we going to actually use the play action consistently? We simply wanted to sit on the lead against Arizona, and the scared play calling after the TD got called back was disgusting. I kept waiting to see a gum chewing Pete pacing the sidelines with a shocked expression on his face the entire 4th quarter.

Did anyone watching the game notice if they used Brady Russell at FB? Same with the game vs. New Orleans. PFR says he had 7 snaps in each of those games but doesn't say at what position or if it was special teams etc.

He was in at FB during one of the short yardage goal to go plays. I actually think it might have been Charbo's TD.

I was wondering how the run game was impacted by Ouzts's injury. He had 19 offensive snaps vs SF, 27 vs PIT, and 14 vs NO before getting injured. I would assume he was out there on the majority of run plays but they don't show that breakdown.

Arroyo had a nice game, 44 yards on two catches and he blocked well
