Let's FREAKIN GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Punch them in the mouth first.
I work in the office of an elementary school next to Yankee stadium.
Today the staff was so short I volunteered to help for lunch duty.
Basically you babysit a bunch of 3rd - 5th graders on the playground while they wait their turn for lunch.
A group of kids sat in a circle and threw insults at each other aka "Yo mamma" games.
Innocent right??
One girl said to another girl "your face looks like a mouth with a gun in it"
I asked her why she said that...and she just replied "because she called me fat".
Who the hell talks to their kids like that? You know she heard that from an adult.
Also it's kind of sad our kids are so warped by television, internet, and absentee parents.
At least there is baseball in Seattle in OCTOBER BABY!

Give them their Adderall and try and be friends with them, that is all a child really needs.......except for parents who actually want to parent them by actually saying NO and following through with appropriate DISCIPLINE for the little monsters.seattlefan-daBronx wrote: ↑Fri Oct 03, 2025 11:25 pmLet's FREAKIN GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its interesting to me how we use to sleep in "two sleeps" medieval times and I feel like I do that pretty much naturally. I don't know why sleep became this thing that had to be a single nonstop processmostonmike wrote: ↑Sat Oct 04, 2025 4:04 pmFinish work 9.30pm our time so 1.30pm on West Coast, having done a 12 hour shift.

that's pretty much me, though i have pretty much eliminated the bedbugs. I remember staying in a pension years ago. Internet connections were rare and the place had free wifi. It also had bedbugs. I remember debating whether to move or not, but damn, its free wifi lolIn the 17th Century, a night of sleep went something like this.
From as early as 21:00 to 23:00, those fortunate enough to afford them would begin flopping onto mattresses stuffed with straw or rags – alternatively it might have contained feathers, if they were wealthy – ready to sleep for a couple of hours. (At the bottom of the social ladder, people would have to make do with nestling down on a scattering of heather or, worse, a bare earth floor – possibly even without a blanket.)
At the time, most people slept communally, and often found themselves snuggled up with a cosy assortment of bedbugs, fleas, lice, family members, friends, servants and – if they were travelling – total strangers.
To minimize any awkwardness, sleep involved a number of strict social conventions, such as avoiding physical contact or too much fidgeting, and there were designated sleeping positions. For example, female children would typically lie at one side of the bed, with the oldest nearest the wall, followed by the mother and father, then male children – again arranged by age – then non-family members.
A couple of hours later, people would begin rousing from this initial slumber. The night-time wakefulness usually lasted from around 23:00 to about 01:00, depending on what time they went to bed. It was not generally caused by noise or other disturbances in the night – and neither was it initiated by any kind of alarm (these were only invented in 1787, by an American man who – somewhat ironically – needed to wake up on time to sell clocks). Instead, the waking happened entirely naturally, just as it does in the morning.
The period of wakefulness that followed was known as "the watch" – and it was a surprisingly useful window in which to get things done. "[The records] describe how people did just about anything and everything after they awakened from their first sleep," says Ekirch.
