at this point i guess its bad form to be worrying about, need to get there first, but I think he is going to be ready if they advanceDanielVogelbach wrote: ↑Sat Oct 04, 2025 10:28 pmI didn't rule him out. I'm just skeptical that he's progressing towards a post season start rather than a regular season start.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Sat Oct 04, 2025 5:22 pm
Probably need Miller for a game four...I think that is a little pessimistic about Woo. If he was actually injured they would shut him down. I think its more getting him ready to pitch again
Today's Dan Wilson has me more optimistic. I will say 50% for ALCS. First need to make it to next round then we'll see what's up with Woo.
That said, the Mariners believe Woo will have the green light for the ALCS if they can advance, per Jude.
Woo left a Sept. 19 start against the Houston Astros after spinning five shutout innings. It wasn't until Thursday that he threw from the mound again.
Woo has clarified that, at this point, the focus is on ramping things back up so he has the arm strength to fire at the same intensity that has made him one of the AL's top hurlers.

The Mariners "Believe" LOL They didn't put him on the IL because they thought he would be back by the end of the season. Now he might be ready for the ALCS. lol

They certainly shut Martinez up"Contrary to some thoughts up here, we're a really good team," Yankees manager Aaron Boone said in a news conference Friday.
Boone was referring to a pointed critique that Blue Jays television color analyst and former major leaguer Buck Martinez offered on the Yankees during a game between the Blue Jays and Houston Astros on Sept 9.
The Yankees had taken two of three games from the Blue Jays the previous weekend, but Martinez was unimpressed.
"The Yankees, they're not a good team," Martinez said. "I don't care what their record is."
The Yankees went 5-8 against the Blue Jays in the regular season and just 1-6 in Toronto. The head-to-head series proved significant when both clubs finished tied atop the AL East with 94 wins and the Blue Jays won the division because of the season-series tiebreaker.
"I know Buck had some thoughts," Boone said. "That's all I was responding to. He's wrong. But it doesn't matter. We've got to go play, and we've got to go perform, as everyone does this time of year. We feel really good about our team. We're playing well. All that's in the past now. We've got to play well moving forward."
