Just watched this - looks to me like his right foot is under the player and he's trying not to trip and fall forward while getting pushed in the back. I didn't see any stomping. Hall isn't known for being dirty. I'm not seeing any crime here - except for the push in the back on the FTR.

Case DISMISSED.
Hall has a long history of this. I read that he had major attitude when he was in the NICU in March 2001. Used to trash talk the 3+ lb babies all day long! Used to call them Lazy Fat asses!
NFL player Derick Hall was born four months premature in March 2001, weighing only 2 lbs 9 oz, and given a 1% chance to live, facing severe complications like brain bleeds, underdeveloped lungs, and jaundice, but defied the odds after months in the NICU, overcoming asthma and developmental delays to become a star player for the Seattle Seahawks, inspiring his own foundation, the Derick Hall "One Percent" Foundation, focused on supporting premature babies and families.

Sounds like he is appealing this, and Brady Henderson mentioned a few reasons he might win. One is that unlike DK, and some of the Seahawks teams in the past? There is no history of this with the team or the player. Two, and more importantly, there is an angle that makes it look like he is traying to avoid stepping on him. Also, his reaction to the Rams players looked like he was actually surprised they came at him. If he intentionally stomped on the guy? He probably expects retaliation.

The suspension was upheld. The NFL is corrupt.

The suspension was upheld. He will miss the Carolina game.

Agree. And in order to suspend a player it should require far better evidence than that anyway. Must be all those SF fans working in the NFL offices.
First of all, I think you mean SF FAN  , second, even if he was suspended for a game, the rotation is deep enough it should be fine, get that notre dame kid some reps going into the playoffs. I can't see this resulting in a suspension. I don't think I'm being a homer here, but his foot is stuck and he's getting pushed in the back - a very awkward physical situation in which he's probably trying to avoid getting injured.
The Notre Dame guy plays a different position. And yes, it was one person that reviewed and upheld the suspension and he should be looking for a new job (with the Rams organization).

Something that nobody can agree on, apparently. From thespun.com:

Fans torn on this decision.

“I think he probably deserves that suspension,” one fan argued.

“This doesn’t look intentional,” a second fan said.

“Coleman Shelton a real one for noticing it instantly and having his guys back,” a Rams fan wrote.

“No room for that in the game. Enough injuries as is,” a social media user added.

“What a soft league the NFL has become,” another fan declared.

That was nowhere close to being conclusive evidence of anything. Total joke...

what about the push in the back that propelled him? That seems like the key piece of evidence, not to mention a blatant penalty. Maybe this will piss off the defense and they'll take it out on Carolina.

Didn't help that it was just another thing that McVey and the Rams and their fans whined about after the game. The League probably just wanted LA to shut the fuck up and knew if they didn't uphold this Social Media would be blown wide open. Fuck the Rams.

There is always more to the story.
A source confirmed to The Seattle Times that Metcalf reported the same fan to team security last year.

Metcalf and the man, identified by The Detroit Free Press as Ryan Kennedy, had another interaction during the second quarter of the Steelers game against the Lions on Sunday.

The NFL Network reported that “a source close to Metcalf” said the man “called Metcalf’s mother a derogatory word and called Metcalf ‘something that we both know you don’t call a Black man.'”

Metcalf was captured during the TV broadcast of the game approaching the stands to speak with Kennedy and grabbing at his shirt or blue wig and slapped at him with his hand.

If this is true it might be time for the fan to be shown the door. Not sure why these fans believe they should be able to talk this amount of smack to an athlete on the field and not have repercussions.
