Wow, Velus Jones is the other practice squad guy. And the 2022 draft combine thing says he ran a 4.31 40. I feel a bit better about the depth of the RB room.

Over the last four games against defenses that aren't as good as ours he's caught 30 passes for 300 yards, so there's no reason why we can't hold him down like those defenses did.
Stafford hasn't looked the same of late. He has also never really been that good in bad weather, so add that to a sore hand?
I just had a flashback to the last time we had a home playoff game against a Ham QB with a sore hand...

In their 5 games the Rams are 3-2 with a +19 point differential. (17 of that is vs. the Cardinals) They played the Hawks, Falcons, Cardinals, Panthers and Bears.

In our past 5 games we are 5-0 and have a +65 point differential have played the 4 of the 5 games vs. playoff teams. SF twice, Rams, Panthers and Colts.

Maybe Shaheed will get more reps in the backfield, if the Hams guess wrong on which way the run is going and a hole opens he'll hit it faster than anyone.

Friend of mine has been questioning my enthusiasm over facing the Rams. He's of the mind, the easiest path to a championship is the better one. But what's the point of winning a championship if it requires avoiding the toughest team? I'll be disappointed if the seahawks lose to the Rams but I won't regret playing the game.
But if the Bears had won they wouldn't have been the better team? I think the Bears are an easier matchup than the Rams, in a way, but Williams is the X Factor. It is easier to rush a QB that isn't going to hurt you with his legs.

Could the Bears actually be the better team, but just too many mistakes?

Speedwise, Shaheed in the backfield might make sense. We know he can accelerate and adjust quickly but if he has to absorb any real punishment, that could be bad. He is a returner, though. I guess a lot of it depends on the play calling and his vision.

I am not sure I want a guy taking his first meaningful snaps at RB in the NFCCG.

Be a good story if Akers gets elevated in Charbs' absence and delivers meaningful production against his former team that let him go. Make it so.

Wyman was just saying on the radio that Matt Stafford is they absolute worst QB when he is getting pressured with a QB rating of 24. Says we have been getting pressure rushing four but he would consider blitzing against him because he is so bad vs. pressure.

Yeah I looked and he has averaged only a handful a year.
