It's something to discuss....and maybe the Hawks see it and get annoyed. But a lot of the bulletin board BS is made up anyway. Remember when Jeremy Stevens had the balls to say he thought his team would win, and Joey the Douchbag Porter turned it into an entire thing about him disrespecting Jerome Bettis in his home town? Smart move though, since the Refs bought into it.

I just hadn't realized how highly he's rated. 3rd highest rated RB in the league isn't bad for a backupMichael K. wrote: ↑Fri Jan 23, 2026 5:21 pmOff the top of my head, a list of guys I'd be more upset about being without.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Fri Jan 23, 2026 3:48 am
Charbonnet might be their second best back but not by much. See on the pff lists, Walker is listed as the 2nd highest graded HB at 88.4, charbonnet is 3rd at 86.7
Cross (ouch)
Darnold
JSN
Walker
Big Cat
Murphy
Reed
Lawrence
Ernest Jones
Spoon
Emmanwori
Lucas
Love
This guy used our backup RB being out as reason to pick against us. Buy it if you want. I'm not guaranteeing a victory. But if Ram fans were pissing and moaning about Blake Corum being out and that he is "one of their best players"? I'd be quoting Ryan Clark and saying they are setting up the excuse.

Charbs is underrated - fundamentally outstanding, excellent blocker, solid runner, solid receiver - he will be missed. Really need Outz to play or they are going to have to use the tight ends a LOT - not only to bolster the left side, as all the tackles there seem iffy, but possibly in the back field as well. Going to be very interesting to see what Kubiak cooks up. Better get Darnold rolling out right.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Fri Jan 23, 2026 5:56 pmI just hadn't realized how highly he's rated.

PFF must have thought our run blocking was horrible or that the play calling did the RBs no favors.
Re: It seems CBS Sportsline doesn't think we are the favorites
I remember it differently. All the talk that year was about Bettis winning a Super Bowl. Stevens said in an interview, "The story of Jerome Bettis returning to his hometown (Detroit) is heartwarming, but it's going be a sad day when he doesn't walk away with that trophy." Which pissed off Joey Porter. And Stevens went on to drop a sure TD catch in that game.Michael K. wrote: ↑Fri Jan 23, 2026 5:23 pmIt's something to discuss....and maybe the Hawks see it and get annoyed. But Stevens was (and is) a loser. And Holmgren is a hypocrite. He said he would shy away from players with troubled pasts and off field issues, and then drafted Koren Robinson and Jerramy Stevens.

Cross is playing. Outz and Holani activated. Kam an honorary Captain. Lumin gonna be going nuclear. Let the ass kicking begin already.

So, in your opinion, what Stevens said deserved the fucking ranting and raving douchbag Porter did about it? A few years later Joey was ejected from a game for leaving the sidelines and fighting. He was a fucking coach. Jeremy Stevens is an idiot, but nothing he said Pre Superbowl should have mattered. Where we supposed to say that since Bettis was coming home for the game we didn't expect to win?douche wrote: ↑Fri Jan 23, 2026 7:06 pmI remember it differently. But it happens a lot. Rumor is Michael Jordan made shit up all the time. Or blew stuff out of proportion. George Karl once ignored him at a restaurant during the Finals. George didn't want to start "head games". Instead? Jordan used it as motivation and made it personal. It was what fired him up. Joey Porter was just a dumb fuck that was too stupid to know any better. There are few NFL players I hated more than that jackass.

You're talking about pass blocking? How about handing the ball off to Outz and having Bradford as the lead fullback.Michael K. wrote: ↑Fri Jan 23, 2026 10:28 pmI don't imagine that Holani is the same caliber of blocker that Charbonnet is, but Outz might be?
Re: It seems CBS Sportsline doesn't think we are the favorites
I don't know about Holani's blocking skills - but we need him for depth to spell Walker - who's gonna get tired on his way to 200 yards from scrimmage.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Fri Jan 23, 2026 11:26 pmYou're talking about pass blocking?
