Poll: Thuney or Lawrence
For the sake of this poll assume that JS would have had to give up the Seahawks' 2026 4th round pick to get Thuney from KC.

OG and Edge/DE were both areas of need going into this season, although IMO there was a greater talent deficit at the former.
Here is the cap breakdown on the contracts they received...
Thuney (Bears)
Lawrence (Seahawks)

Also you have to assume that, had they traded for Thuney, the Seahawks would likely not have drafted Zabel and may have used one of their higher picks on an edge rusher.

Really?
The team is going to the Superbowl and this is what your spending your brain power on?

Re: Poll: Thuney or Lawrence
Why would there need to be a third option? We all know what a valuable addtion Lawrence has been, so i thought the comparison to what Thuney (who was selected All-pro) might have contributed was a compelling subject for consideration. Four months ago i would have said Thuney hands down but now after seeing how things played out i think DL added more to their success than JT would have.
just saying i think there was probably a way they could have landed both, if they really wanted to bad enough, and assuming Thuney would have interest. but that's quite an assumption as for him it would be a gamble on a new OC/QB combo on a team that had a long track record of dismal performance for the unit he would be part of. Quite the contrast to Lawrence, who could see the D unit progressing under the well-known genius guidance of the mastermind MM. Both players being at the tail end of their careers, makes sense they would not want to gamble.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Fri Jan 30, 2026 1:11 amWhy would there need to be a third option?
