I’m told #Seahawks and coach Mike Macdonald are closing in on hiring from within the team’s current coaching staff to be Seattle’s new offensive coordinator to replace Klint Kubiak.

Kubiak is now, as of today, the new head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders ⁦

I’ll guess Jake Peetz then. He’s the Hawks passing game coordinator and former passing game specialist with the Rams under McVay.

He interviewed for the OC job with the Lions in January.

Rick Dennison has the resume. Has been an O.C. for multiple organizations. including for a superbowl champ.

To a man last night they talked about their teammates being their brothers, they talked about creating chemistry. These are Professional athletes....I told my wife that it makes me hope that my players are watching this. I'm sure they weren't, but I feel like what I tell them about good teammates and chemistry and comradery goes in one ear and out the other. The Super Bowl Champs and their coaching staff talk about it. Hell, I was at a Coaching Convention not that long ago and many sessions focused on it. Northwestern, Oregon and Cal State Fullerton coaches all had very interesting training sessions on it. Culture is intentional. This Hawks team got it.

Do you see this group of players differently than those from the 2013 team? I guess that team probably had too many "individuals" and "strong personalities" to survive some adversity. Hope this group is different. At least Darnold isn't likely to marry a pop star and go into full weirdo mode.

The thing I keep going back to is how this team rallied after Sam Darnold basically handed the Rams the Division lead a few short months ago. The team had his back, it was a rallying point. Sure, it's not like throwing a pick at the goal line to lose the Super Bowl that appeared to be won, but you are left to wonder how this team would have reacted to that in comparison? The finger pointing was a problem, the blame game. The thing I always went back to is the LOB acting like that play lost the Ring. That play never happens if you don't give up back to back Touchdown drives in the fourth quarter.

I feel this team? Darnold would be taking the blame, and the defense probably wouldn't stand for it. But? No way to really know I guess.

The Rams game was a turning point for me too, as a fan. I wasn't even all that mad after that game. It took four picks inside our own territory and the luckiest punt bounce I've ever seen to beat us. And? Instead of throwing around blame? These guys rallied.

Highest paid punter in the game sure earned his paycheck! LOL Every single facet of the game was pretty much owned by Seattle last night.

The five field goals from Myers set a new Super Bowl record, and according to Sportradar, the 180 total yards traveled on his field goals also set another Super Bowl record.

Dickson also showed admirable poise and tremendous grasp of his craft as his punting work held New England to just four return yards. On seven punts, Dickson averaged 47.9 yards per kick and put three of inside the New England 10-yard line. Two were downed inside the five-yard line and another skipped out of bounds at the six.
