Subtitles? Apparently what he was saying involved language that is not allowed (supposedly) on live broadcast television. Profane and graphic. I hope the network gets sued as well as the NFL. Not divisive my ass. Did you guys all take stupid pills or are you still hung over...
Fit for TV was Gaga and Ricky Martin. Lyrics by Bunny only in Spanish. Even native speakers can't freakin understand him half the time.
Let's just say it's not for kids.

They are dividing up the world again. He sounded off all the countries in the new region from Canada to South America and the Caribbean. All under the watchful care of the U.S.A.

Who exactly are "you guys"? I know you're not directing that my way...

You might want to assume that none of us speaks Spanish and we don't know what the lyrics were. And yes, if they were profane they don't belong on what's supposed to be a family-friendly event which already pushes boundaries with the hoochies dancing.

From AI on google search...
Key explicit lyrics and translations include:
"Safaera": Contains lines like "If your boyfriend doesn't eat your ass / He better f-ck off" and references to explicit sexual activity.
"Monaco": Features a line about having a flight attendant perform oral sex in the sky ("Que la azafata te mame el bicho en el cielo").
"Titi Me Preguntó": Lyrics discuss having many girlfriends, with a line translated as "And she says that my d**k is fire".
"El Apagón": Includes the line "Me gusta la chocha de Puerto Rico," which references female genitalia.
"Yo Perreo Sola": While not explicit in the same way, the title means "I Dance Alone" or "I Twerk Alone," advocating for female autonomy.

Following the 2026 Super Bowl, some viewers expressed shock at the direct English translations of his, which were described by critics as lacking subtlety and promoting "degeneracy".
I would assume none of you thinks that crap belongs in the SB or on any form of mass media broadcast to the general public. Goodell is a POS who has no values other than getting rich.

Agreed that it doesn't. Were any of these lyrics actually sang during the performance? If so, then that's just really low class, and sad that a guy like that has to write cheap shortcut lyrics like that to sell records. Same with Kid Rock in his song about underage girls from what I understand.

Interesting how the criticism of the show has now settled on profanity. It seems like the criticism started before the show, with Bad Bunny being criticized for saying negative things about Trump and about ICE. Then immediately after the show, the criticism pivoted, and seemed to be "it's in Spanish; how can anybody understand this?" Now it's about profanity, at least in the official lyrics. (I, too, have no idea what he actually sang.)

Legitimate cases can be made on all three. Let's face it, the biggest reason Bad Bunny was picked was as an answer to the current administration's policies. We all know that. Singing in Spanish wasn't so bad but Little Stevie did have a really good point about using subtitles to be inclusive of everyone. And if the lyrics were profane, that has no place at a family-friendly event, although a lot of people don't seem to care these days and just throw up their hands and say you know what, our kids see and hear this stuff all the time when they play GTA so whatever.

I agree that those cases *can* be made, but when I see people piling on with shifting criticism, first one thing then another, it seems that disliking Bad Bunny was the starting point. Then people were looking for a reason to criticize that would stick. (Another thing I think that people on the both the left and the right do. Have you been following how people on the left are twisting themselves into knots criticizing President's Trump's tariffs? Which were *supposed* to cause an inflation spike, no wait, a recession, no wait, they are causing something else bad.)

Do you really think he was iced because he opposes policies? I'd suspect there are thousands in that category! :) I'd say it was because of his popularity. I think he was the most streamed artist in the world in 2025. And I hear all the time that the NFL is trying to get more of a global presence, especially in Latin America.

That's all fine and dandy, but why would they pick someone that they knew would turn off a lot of people? I mean, you pick Usher, just about everyone likes that. You pick Rhiannon, just about everyone likes that. You pick latinas J-Lo and Shakira, just about everyone likes that. Even the old-school rappers, a lot of people at first went oh really those old farts, and then we ended up getting a damn good show with no political BS other than Eminem kneeling and people laughing at him because he apparently forgot what year it was.

What did the NFL think, that Bad Bunny was going to go out there like Freddie Mercury at Live-Aid and win over the entire world on the first note?

I get what you are saying. Do you think that the only entertainment should be people who have never criticized anyone or anything? The political stuff associated with Bad Bunny certainly wasn't in this show.
