This is what is so fucking preposterous. Every one arguing about which one of the men that gave us a Super Bowl Victory should be sent packing because of the Salary cap but then we have the the complete dumb fucks arguing that MLB should have a salary cap to "SAVE BASEBALL" from the Dodgers who got luck as absolute fuck to wins the WS.

There is a lot of speculation about Rasheed going to the Raiders

https://www.espn.ph/nfl/story/_/id/4794 ... -offseason26. Rashid Shaheed, WR
Best team fit: Seattle Seahawks
After trading multiple picks to acquire Shaheed during the season, re-signing the wide receiver makes sense for the Seahawks given his impact in multiple phases of the game. He can work the third level of the field as a vertical target for quarterback Sam Darnold, and he is a dynamic and fearless kick returner. Shaheed has 29 receptions of 20 or more yards in his four-year career

The Seattle Seahawks are unlikely to use either a franchise or transition tag on running back and Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III, league sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Tuesday.
The Seahawks have multiple free agents that they want to retain and sign, and the team would also try to extend the contract of wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

I can already tell - Mike Salk on 710 is going to be droning on and on about not overpaying anyone. He secretly still worships theD-train wrote: ↑Wed Feb 18, 2026 2:11 amThis is what is so fucking preposterous. Belichick Patriot dynasty and wants that perceived ruthless approach here too.

Hard to argue with the success of that philosophy. The one flaw? Brady always took less. And do you know how many rings Bill won as a Head Coach without Brady?
The problem is, we have seen the other side. Pete wouldn't let go of anyone. They resigned everyone...and I'm pretty sure they would have resigned ET and Sherm if they hadn't gotten hurt. They also never seemed to actually buy into the always ComPete theory. Hard to say if they never added competition to Russ because of some fucked up loyalty? Of if it just worked out that way. Still? It was the anti-Patriot way to sign all those guys to second contracts.

All true. At the same time, I reserve the right to argue with Salk or whoever on what is and what isn't overpaying a specific player.Michael K. wrote: ↑Wed Feb 18, 2026 8:15 pmHard to argue with the success of that philosophy. Haha, point taken. And I agree with you. Arguing that the "Patriot Way" is why that worked, and not acknowledging that Brady took a haircut on every salary? It's flawed.

That aspect isn't really about the FAs, it's the extensions. Nobody is talking about that. It's JSN and witherspoon that's really going to take a chunk out of the cap

It's all how its structured. Backload? Frontload? Huge signing bonus? No player is worth 40 million.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Thu Feb 19, 2026 1:21 amThat aspect isn't really about the FAs, it's the extensions. Nobody is talking about that.
