What do you mean?
The speed of the signings, it's like a race
Ah yes, I wonder why such a difference. What was your prediction.
The difference is that you have the NFL draft coming up in 6 weeks, and you need to focus on nailing those picks. Right after the draft, you have rookie OTA's and then some regular OTA's for the team. In baseball, you have 3.5 months until spring training starts.

They need to upgrade at RG. Was really hoping for Linderbaum. That would've helped a ton. He better hope & pray he gets one in one of the 1st 2 rounds. Don't know what he's gonna do about a RB. Can't believe they wanna sell the farm for JSN. I get it he's a good player but 40 million. Fuck that. Unless he figures out a cleaver way to structure it. Was really hoping they'd keep Coby too. K9 I understand I guess. Gotta throw some money somewhere.

I'm very glad they kept Shaheed. The idea of him, JSN and Horton lining up for offensive schemes with our TEs makes me happy. And he flat changes the way teams approach their kickoffs and punts. Quality clubhouse guy, probably the top FA burner. Sorry about K9 on offense, but if Charbs and Kenny Mac are healthy. yes please, I'm a Holani fan, and we still have Akers and Velus Jones signed on I think the futures thing, whatever that is. Plus, there is one more RB in the fold I've forgotten.

This is all before the draft or we find another FA fit at RB. Oline is much improved, and obviously done to death improving at RG could make a tag-team combo at running back look even better than the first part of last year.

Tee it up, I'm ready for the draft!

Who says the have to give $40mill to JSN? That is what he wants, not what the Seahawks are paying him. Remember, they do not need to pay JSN & Spoon until 2028. They are going into their 4th yr this year. In May, you have to declare uf you are picking up their 5th year option. There is no chance the Seahawks are not picking up their 5th year'which pushes their free agent year to 2028. They will do exactly the same thing they did with Cross last year....pick up his option and sign them in July of '27. At that time, they get another big bump in the salary cap with Williams, Lawrence's and Kupp's contracts coming off the books. They will be able to structure the contracts so that they will get the 5th year money with the extensions starting in 2028...so you really get 2 cap bumps before they hit.

The people screeching about them resigning JSN and Spoon really are morons and don't pay attention to how the Seahawks FO really works.

Feels like a huge mistake giving Shaheed that money.

Hope I'm wrong.

Loved all of John's moves last year. Hate the ones so far.

Charbs will lucky to hit the field by the time you go shopping for your Christmas goose. We have nothing at RB worthy of getting a handful of carries a game at the moment.

Bob and Wyman are surprised at the Shaheed deal. So why haven't we signed any FAs yet?

Yeah it is almost like he needs to have 2-3 TD returns to make it worth while unless his WR production at least doubles.

I expect his production to go up with a full season with Darnold. But I think you're missing the impact he had just being on the field. Interesting how it's all about Rasheed, it's Darnold too getting familiar with him. In fact I will bet that's the majority of it

Last season there were 6 KO returns for TDs and 15 punt returns for TDs in 272 games. One every 13 games.
