Cowherd's take on it, that's an interesting angle. JSN is supposedly a strong locker room guy. He's not your typical wacky star WR flake
"A lot of young players are productive but teams don't sign them a year early. Why did they do it with JSN? No drama, no big ego, he is what every CEO is seeking. He is what every GM is seeking."
And it does put the Rams in a bind with their WR who is a bit of a flake
Additionally, the two sides reset the wide receiver market before the Los Angeles Rams could get a deal in front of Puka Nacua, who will also command top-end money. This puts pressure on their division rivals, and the Rams don't have the luxury of working around the option since Nacua was a fifth-round pick
We already know Nacua is a flake with how he dumped UW. Then the prick he is on the field, plus the prick he will be in negotiating, means that he is going to hold the Rams up for way more than JSN got. This will be the end of the Rams because Stafford will probably be done in the next 2 seasons, and they will not have anyone in the room to take his place. I love that the Rams will be tumbling down the standings soon.

That fuck Nacua is a helluva receiver. He pretty much makes me sick, he's so good, but
planning the demise of the Rams based on their overpays is very 2024.
The biggest problem the Rams currently have is figuring out how to beat the Seahawks.

Thats funny, I was going to say it's about beating the Rams. All the projections sites have the Rams as the number one roster in football. That to me is the focus, not another SB as much as another division championship. I'm confident JS is looking at that hard. And don't count out the 49ers, they get healthy. The division is going to be something

In the arms race of the NFCW, Seattle is smartly playing the long game here. Keeping players in the fold that are really seahawks, having a strong salary cap situation, keeping the core of the roster intact with players that make sense and want to be here - a cohesive locker room. Now the Lambs have to over pay Nacua and I love it cause he is trouble for them. Lambs window shutting quickly - Stafford cannot keep this up. SEattle stock piling picks a season away - will be able to fill a lot of roster holes opening up. Loing game thinking here while Lambs have tio go all in now. 9ers are right there, too. Man, this division is just insane. I suggest the Bobo signing just tipped the balance of power once again in Seattle's favor. :D
