Stanford QB Costello visiting UW
Re: Stanford QB Costello visiting UW
Yes please. and coming just on the heels of his visit to none other than Mississippi State, new home of Lake's favorite whipping boy Leach. gee, wonder who should be favored in that matchup?

the UW is listed as his first visit, seems his career at Stanford has come to an end, he would be a graduate transfer, play another season
Re: Stanford QB Costello visiting UW
You don't use up eligibility at one school and have another year only if you transfer. He was injured last year and either doesn't think he can beat out the replacement or wants a fresh start.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2020 12:56 amthe UW is listed as his first visit, seems his career at Stanford has come to an end, he would be a graduate transfer, play another season

didn't mean he had used up his eligibility, he was once the starter but it seems he will not be next season, his career there has come to an end, but he is going to be able to transfer and play the next season

Ah, got it. Kind of like Felix's career was over in Seattle after last season even though he could have technically resigned. I see how you meant it now.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2020 1:53 amdidn't mean he had used up his eligibility, he was once the starter but it seems he will not be next season, his career there has come to an end, but he is going to be able to transfer and play the next season

cant blame him for wanting a fresh start with all the other players that are defecting, and the general downhill trajectory they have been on for the past 3 years (admittedly, in part of because of his own injuries). as for UW's side, i would much rather take my chances next year with KJ than with Sirmon, especially for the season opener against a stingy Michigan D., even at the risk of pushing Sirmon and Morris out the portal exit. be very surprised if Morris ever starts a game here - a Petersen recruit who seems to have by far the lowest ceiling of all the guys in the pipeline. one more 1-year bridge with KJ then begins the Garbers/Huard era.

I didn't dig into why its considered over, but it doesn't seem like a qb controversy, he isn't going to start there next season, seems like a decent qb, second team Pac 10 the season beforeD-train wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2020 2:14 amAh, got it. Morris just seems too small. I realize size isn't the issue it used to be, and it certainly isn't for Pete. Moore at BSU, Browning here and then the odd love affair with Haener. But, it is hard to see Morris beating out the others he would be in competition with.57reasons wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2020 3:19 amcant blame him for wanting a fresh start with all the other players that are defecting, and the general downhill trajectory they have been on for the past 3 years (admittedly, in part of because of his own injuries). as for UW's side, i would much rather take my chances next year with KJ than with Sirmon, especially for the season opener against a stingy Michigan D., even at the risk of pushing Sirmon and Morris out the portal exit. be very surprised if Morris ever starts a game here - a Petersen recruit who seems to have by far the lowest ceiling of all the guys in the pipeline. one more 1-year bridge with KJ then begins the Garbers/Huard era.
