I don't think you can expect a team to make up for regression by adding players. I think you should look for some progression from other players season to season. Julio gets to carry them this season

Obviously its way too early to draw any conclusions but you certainly can't complain about the start to the season for this years 2nd and 3rd basemen versus the guys they finished with last year. If they still had Polanco and Suarez they are probably sitting at 1-4 right now.
