Naylor needs to be a slugger again for it to be a "problem"Donn Beach wrote: ↑Thu Apr 16, 2026 1:21 amYeah, it's the kind of problem you want to have. Heaven forbid they have too many sluggers

Naylors underlying numbers at least seem positive. I was just thinking the only real issue I have is with Cal. The article you posted about his metrics

Yeah that was SCARY. How does that happen going from 60 bombs to that at age 29.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Mon Apr 20, 2026 2:44 pmNaylors underlying numbers at least seem positive. I was just thinking the only real issue I have is with Cal. The article you posted about his metrics

Yeah, we still search for answers. I really don't buy the age thing. To a certain extent in terms of diminishing performance over the life of a contract. But the falling off a cliff stuff I don't buy. Because a guy is six months older he suddenly can no longer hit a baseball. Its convenient but I'm still stuck with the why.D-train wrote: ↑Mon Apr 20, 2026 3:14 pmYeah that was SCARY. The Travelers game last night was suspended because of rain but before that call Anderson pitched 4 2/3 with 8 strikeouts, 1 hit, 0 walks, and 0 runs. The game is supposed to be completed tonight.

I legit cannot imagine a world where Anderson & Sloan are in our rotation. Who gets moved first? Start taking bets because it's gonna happen. Max Fried 2.0 I swear. Does someone get converted to bullpen? Do you really wanna move Cal to DH at the ripe old age of 30. If Stevenson continues to slug then I don't really think you have a lot of choice. Your not gonna jettison him like you did with Ford. I really hope there's no lockout because I wanna see how lethal our rotation can with those 2 in it. Too much pitching is never a bad thing.

I think they'll probably trade Kirby in the offseason and maybe they pay down some of Castillo's contract for someone to take him.HawkandMariner88 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 27, 2026 1:31 amI legit cannot imagine a world where Anderson & Sloan are in our rotation. Definitely will not be trading Kirby in the off season. If they did who would they trade him for????GL_Storm wrote: ↑Mon Apr 27, 2026 2:16 amI think they'll probably trade Kirby in the offseason and maybe they pay down some of Castillo's contract for someone to take him.HawkandMariner88 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 27, 2026 1:31 amI legit cannot imagine a world where Anderson & Sloan are in our rotation. He'll have 2 years of control left so you can get quite a lot for him.D-train wrote: ↑Mon Apr 27, 2026 3:20 amDefinitely will not be trading Kirby in the off season.
