Dem. Primary - 1st stop Iowa
Re: Dem. Primary - 1st stop Iowa
Ha! Yeah, what could go wrong. Not a good week for the Dems. And will only get better after a great speech tonight and an acquittal with at least 67 votes tomorrow.Coeurd’Alene J wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2020 3:24 pm

OMG! The hits keep on coming. This Iowa Dem voter asked to get her voting card back after she finds out the Mayor Pete is gay. What a night for the Dems!!!

Total debacle in Iowa. Still only 72% of precincts have reported! These politicians spent 100s of millions of dollars campaigning in Iowa. Do you know what kind of an app that can buy? And, why the f#ck is anything coming out that's not 100% of the results?

Presidential candidate Andrew Yang calls the Iowa caucus fiasco an “avoidable error that shot the party in the foot.”
“It is going to be harder to convince Americans that we can entrust massive systems with government if we can’t count votes on the same night...”

Could this vote count SNAFU have happened to the GOP..?
It sounds like a bug with new[er] technology..?
Was it a "Fatal Flaw" with a system that had not been thoroughly tested..?
Was there an urgent need to upgrade the old vote counting system..?
Was the old system problematic or was this a case of switching to a newer vote counting system just for the sake of it being newer...?
We somehow are able to process millions of credit card transactions flawlessly [and other secure transactions as well] every day..yet counting votes honestly and accurately continues to be a challenge.
Just ask DNC Heroine Meloise Richardson about that. I'm surprise Obama didn't give HER the Presidential Medal.....

Think about telephones in the 1950s and smart phones now. Yet on election night the news still shows rooms full of old women with envelope openers counting ballots just like they did 70-80 years ago. Mind boggling that people want to trust the government with even more control over their lives.Moe Gibbs wrote: ↑Thu Feb 06, 2020 7:18 pmCould this vote count SNAFU have happened to the GOP..?

Re: Dem. Primary - 1st stop Iowa
I believe some places have fully digital voting, but does that make it more or less secure versus having the paper trail?
Seems like it's always a leap of faith by a voter when assuming that the votes will be fairly and accurately counted. I think that faith is really tested when it takes 3 days to count 'em, that's for sure. Could be an honest mistake, but could also be foul play. Count the votes in a timely manner and you don't won't have to deal with conspiracy theories.

Re: Dem. Primary - 1st stop Iowa
I don't think we can trust volunteers to handle absentee ballots by hand any longer.
Just ask Meloise [Melowese?...Weezie?] Richardson about that. She admitted to casting 9 votes for Obama, but who knows how many bogus votes she actually entered into the system. At any rate this is her story...
CINCINNATI – A long-time poll worker who admitted to illegal voting was sentenced to five years in prison Wednesday and received a rebuke from the judge, who cited her criminal past.Melowese Richardson, 58, pleaded no contest to four counts of illegal voting in 2009, 2011 and 2012. One count charged her with voting for her sister, who is in a coma. Four other counts were dropped in exchange for Richardson’s plea.During a passionate sentencing speech, Hamilton County Judge Robert P. Ruehlman laid out a laundry list of past charges against Richardson – from witness harassment to theft to assault – as Richardson stood before him.
That was only eight months ago. For some reason, she has already been released. At an event that was all about voting law, Ohio Democrats invited a person guilty of multiple counts of voter fraud to speak – to “welcome her back” and applaud her. They invited her up to the stage, like some sort of hero.
Democrats seem to oppose any changes in the law that make it harder to cheat. Their embrace of Melowese Richardson shows where their intentions actually lie.
Remember how the Globalist Owned Media was all over this story 24/7/365...?
Yeah, me neither.

Re: Dem. Primary - 1st stop Iowa
I had never heard of Meloise in Cincy
Even Democrat leaders questioned the idea of applauding Richardson.
"I am very glad the county prosecutor and judge reconsidered and got her out of jail, but she is not a hero," Hamilton County Democratic Party Chairman Tim Burke, who was at the rally, told the Enquirer. "What she did was criminal conduct and was particularly problematic because of her role as a poll worker."
Hamilton County Democratic Party Executive Director Caleb Faux, who was also at the rally, saw it as an attempt to portray Richardson as a martyr because of the lengthy sentence.
"There is some validity that the sentence was too harsh," Faux told the Enquirer. "But I don't see how you can hold her up as an example of somebody to be proud of. What she did was reprehensible."
I feel like there can be voter fraud at an individual level, but it also doesn't seem out of reach that the numbers could be fudged at a higher level e.g. report an extra 1,800 votes with a dumb excuse ready in case you get caught. I never completely trust any of it, but I've been casting ballots anyway. (at least 3x per election)
