You made your visitors take public transportation instead of picking them up at the AP??? lolgil wrote: ↑Mon May 11, 2026 10:37 pmWhere did you get that number? I'm seeing a lot less on Enterprise and Alamo web sites (maybe like 400 weekly with all fees for a mid size SUV, but less if you want to go for a smaller vehicle).
But ... how much does the price of rental cars at Sea-Tac have to do with the Seattle mayor? The airport and rental cars are under the control of the Port, aren't they? And the airport isn't even in Seattle.
And as a Seattle resident, I don't rent cars at the airport, so it's not a big deal. I had visitors two weeks ago and instead of renting a car they took the light rail for $3 each to where I met them.
I didn't vote for our mayor and I've got lots of criticisms of her, but this one is pretty far down the list.
Seattle's mayor WTF

I told them I needed my next paycheck to be able to afford that much gas. They understood. lolD-train wrote: ↑Tue May 12, 2026 11:54 pmYou made your visitors take public transportation instead of picking them up at the AP??? lolgil wrote: ↑Mon May 11, 2026 10:37 pmWhere did you get that number? No actually, they wanted to take light rail. I couldn't tempt them with the prospect of an hour in traffic on I-5 north.
