How many of us get to start a Game Thread on our birthday (Tue GT)

Post by mostonmike » Tue May 19, 2026 6:43 am

Or is it my birthday?

Monday 18th May 6:40pm PDT was actually 2:40am BST on the 19th - so last night was effectively on my birthday.
Tuesday 19th May 6:40pm PDT will be Wednesday morning for me and birthday will be over but I suppose my birthday runs an extra 8 hours on your time?

All I can say is it casts my mind back to my 50th which was 4 years ago and game day with Darren and bumped into Chad and MarinerMike in Boston - a lifetime memory of why we should all appreciate this forum at its best.

There is a game on later.

Miller's second start vs Anthony Kay - another leftie who pitched against us on Sunday just over a week ago. CHC won 6-1 and our 1 was a sac fly from super Rob Refsynder who we will probably see again tonight.
3-1 ERA 4.61 K 29 WHIP 1.54

Go Mariners. If we lose at least I can claim Colt Emerson's first HR was on my birthday Game Thread ------ yesterday and I will forget this thread ever happened.

Having a guy at leadoff that is hitting .117 is not only saying, "we are idiots" its saying "we don't care if everyone knows we are idiots"

Miller is throwing gas. Looking strong early on!!!

Big spot here for strikeout or homer!!!! Come on Homer!!!!

So Miller's on a reduced pitch count now?

Can someone explain to me like I’m stupid, what Refsnyder has done on the field to earn all of this playing time?

Anyone?
