This is kinda interesting, a look at Arozarena's hitting profile. Seems like something for the, don't swing as hard crowd. His hard hit and barrel rates are down, but he's also cut down on pop-ups.

Arozarena is running a 24.4 line-drive percentage this season, up from 21.3 last year and above his player average of 21.5. His ground-ball rate is also up to 53.3 percent, which is not exactly ideal, but paired with fewer popups and more line drives, it paints a different picture.

He’s trading some high-end impact for cleaner contact distribution. That doesn’t erase the gap between his BA and xBA, but it explains why this doesn’t feel like random luck.

Here's an article about it, doesn't really have much insight other than there isn't much hope in terms of underlying numbers.

In one respect you must hand it to the Mariners for continuing to give Refsnyder at-bats, hoping he can rediscover the proficiency he's had versus lefites throughout his career. Although you do have to wonder why the heck they've used him in the leadoff spot of all places, given his struggles? In 11 games at the top of the order he's just 4-for-35 with 11 strikeouts.

On the subject of home, it's fair to question how much more time Refsnyder will be given in Seattle? He doesn't offer speed or defensive versatility, making it tough to justify rostering a guy who can't even hit. We wonder if the point of no return will be 100 plate appearances as it was with Leody Taveras before he got canned, and with Refsnyder now at 75 plate appearances, the clock is ticking

If there were no other options I could see it but the fact that you have Davis who is about 10 years younger making minimum wage killing it in Tacoma makes it inexcusable to hang onto him to try to salvage a measly $4M. Has a guy that has completely sucked EVER turned it around because they kept giving him chances. No, that has NEVER happened.

LH starter going for the Royals again so I am sure he will be back in the lineup. Probably at leadoff.

Oh yeah Naylor will lead us to the WS! How in the F do you guys come up with these ideas???? Even OKeefe is a better option than Naylor. Just keep Garver until Cal is back then DFA him.

I hate Garver more than terrorists and scammers but He has somehow been better than Naylor this season and it isn't close 0.2 WAR vs -0.5 WAR and .553 OPS. Naylor should want to win more games and having his brother on the team isn't going to make that happen.
