I thought Cijntje (Springfield Cardinals) was supposed to have a pitching duel with Kade Anderson (Arkanasas Travelers) yesterday.
Cijntje didn't pitch. Some dude named Doyle did. I guess the duel is today featuring Jurranfelo versus Sloan.
Bottomline, Kade went 4.2 innings, 75 pitches, 3 singles, 2 BBs, 7 K's. Travs won, 14-0.

However, through 4 innings, all right-handed, Cijntje has a 2-hitter going. Cardinals have hit Sloan a bit.
He's yielded 6 hits (1 dbl), 3 runs, all earned, no walks and struck out 6. He's finished his stint and a reliever is in,
RH Abdiel Jose Mendoza, from Panama. He got thru his inning 1-2-3.

Travs ended up losing 6-0. So, AA hitters for the M's won't hit either; only 3 hits.

I can't imagine a 2027 or more than likely a 2028 infield of

1B - Naylor

2B - Young

SS - Emerson

3B - Celestin

Youth all around

Naylor has been a bust so far. Projected to have -0.6 WAR this season. He will turn 31 yo during the 2028 season and still have 2.5 more years to go.

Right-handed relief pitcher Brock Moore is in AA now. He pitched an inning tonight. No move yet on Christian Little, who's been nearly as dominant at Everett as Moore has.

Whew, those are depressing words. More so for Stanton than me, he earns a tad less than Julio.. 18.5 mil a year for a guy who looks a tad out of shape? That might not be true, but looks like he's got a little table muscle hanging over his belt.
