Tough break for Munoz. Naylor took a risk. Love this Arizona offense, maybe not so good in the post season. Need a blast.
Naylor fucked up twice last night not throwing home with the bases loaded with not chance of a DP. Not sure if I can take almost 5 more seasons of this guy. .676 OPS for a 1B an 0.1 WAR more than a third of the way through the season??? Gross.

Munoz better get control of his slider back or we might be in trouble. I don't see that "try and hit this bitch attitude like we need

Shit. I agree. 5 years. Think about it.

More conditioning, less shoeshine? I hate seeing million dollar athletes look out of shape. Could be wrong about him that way.

Munoz' fireballs got rocked too much early on, so they're trying to mix it up lately with too many 88mph changeups. He's a no-back-down guy and if the fastball or slider ain't working, he's just another pitcher. Still got value, but we need a new closer.

Shelf life for closets isn’t very long. And Munoz is proving that
Tell that to Chapman who's 38 & bordering on another All-Star level. Smoltz switched to closer late in his career & look how it worked out for him. I wanna pose this to the rest of the forum. Would you trade for Chapman & the rest of his 2026 contract right now knowing where were at & potentially where were headed. Boston is not coming back this year. Their done you can bet on that. I'd happily pay for 3+ months of old man Chapman if it meant Munoz is not our closer anymore. He just doesn't have it. How he regressed is beyond me I just don't trust him anymore in the 9th I really don't. He doesn't instill a ton of confidence in any Mariners fan right now at all. Chapman should be had for dirt cheap so I'm asking, who ya willing to give up. If Locklear got us Naylor, what would Chapman net. Inquiring minds wanna know. Imagine this

7th - Bazardo
8th - Brash
9th - Chapman

Right now outside of RH bench bat he's my #1 target no question book it.

Literally everyone is hitting now other than Naylor with his anemic SLG and he isn't going to be replaced and we have Cal and Donovan coming back. OBVIOUSLY we aren't going to trade for another starter so BP is literally the only option to upgrade the time. So I concur!!!

Naylor .298 /.354 /.356 /.710 Last 30 days, yeah the slugging is low but I'm not going to worry about it. It's a pretty solid line really. He wasn't going to be a huge home run guy. He hit 20 last season, he could get there again. I could see the home runs coming around. It certainly beats Garver

Past three weeks Naylor is at .264 SLG and a .580 OPS. His SLG was at .464 from 2022-25 and is only .344 this season...

Yeah, hopefully he brings it up. To me it's one of those things that can fluctuate. He struggled earlier. He's hitting the ball now, he's got a nice obp, next he probably needs to elevate more. I'm not extrapolating his slugging out over the season at this point. It's something that can be worked on. And it's going to be the last thing that comes around generally. When you rebuild a swing it's the last thing, elevation
