Bring me some meds for Rico Garcia
Bring me some meds for Rico Garcia
It's bound to get intimate as we face the O's 7 times in 11 days this month. Let's hope we don't have to play come-from-behind ball against them. Garcia bests Mason Miller in all but saves and strikeouts.

fWAR is a funny thing.
Did anyone watching last night's game think Luke Raley had a worse defensive performance than Mark Vientos? Vientos made an error and failed to corral multiple grounders that an avg 1B would nab.
Yet he was worth -0.1 fWAR defensively to Raley's -0.2... who for the life of me seemed to play an OK right field. No errors... nothing egregious stands out.
Vientos was only worth -0.1 fWAR on the night when he made an error, failed on more defensive plays, and went 0-4... including a GIDP that killed a potential Mets inning.

It's the sample size that's absurd, defensive metrics are supposed to be three seasons worth to get an accurate measurement. But everyone wants to adjust WAR on a daily basis. That be my first question to one of the people running these sites. How do you rectify that?Seattle or Bust wrote: ↑Wed Jun 03, 2026 4:58 pmfWAR is a funny thing.

Awhile back I binged on Clint Eastwood spaghetti westerns and included Alfredo. Not a bad movie.

The one above is Sam peckinpah with Warren Oates. It's a weird little movie. It's like a Mexican road trip with plenty of violence, Oates driving around literally with a guys head in a bag. He's trying to collect a bounty a gangster had put on it.. Wacky adventures with Warren and his head, great movie
