Kade vs. Sloan

Post by D-train » Sat Jun 13, 2026 11:10 pm

I get that Kade is 18 months older and Sloan has the classic Big Roger Clemens/Gerrit Cole Ace body. But there is no way you can tell me with a straight face and that in 18 months Sloan will be producing like Kade has so far this season. These guys ignoring stats just think they are too smart to judge two pitchers by blatantly obvious metrics. If Sloan has better stuff how does he have an ERA over 5 and Kade barely over 1.

A right handed pitcher sitting 96mph is like every other arm in MLB now...

Hard not to like Anderson over just about any prospect at this point.

Yep he is my #1 for sure.

Question: How many of our starters could do what he has done in AA?

Answer: Less than 5

Sloan throws harder. That's what they are saying, he refines his pitches over the next 18 months and he'll be the guy

Kade reminds me a lot of Cole Hamels. Feels like he could turn in a similar career.

I see a lot of Hunter Brown in Ryan Sloan.

I think both could be TOR arms.

Anderson really wasn't being projected as a number one coming out of college. He's certainly advanced for where he's at now. Sloan I believe though less advanced has been projected as a one. So who knows, they are both quite good. So it's pretty much, six and half a dozen. You could put Anderson higher due to being nearer the majors. He really needs to be promoted

Terms of minor league stats, Emerson seems to be developing as was projected aside from his minor league stats. We are getting what the scouting saw as opposed to his stats.

Small samples and recency bias are a bad combination.

They both had great outings yesterday but that is a hell of a lot of refinement in to be better than Kade in the 2028 season....

Colt? I don't think the scouts saw any of these numbers coming:
