Actually, his batting average is up 30 points and his on base is up 70 points. He's just had a weird transformation as a hitter despite playing in a home park that's better for him power-wise.

The weirdest power outage I can think of for a guy who actually still hit for somewhat of an average was Mike Schmidt in 1978 who in his age-28 season hit 21 home runs whereas several years before and after he always hit more than 35.
