Tucker Carlson: "I'm out" (of the Republican Party)

Post by gil » Tue Jun 23, 2026 5:16 pm

Tucker Carson said he won't be voting for Republicans this year because of the war with Iran.
He’s repeatedly criticized the war as being at the behest of Israel at the expense of Americans, and attacked the party for failing to represent its own voters, citizens and nation.

“They are making decisions on the basis of other criteria, what’s best for this company, what’s best for Israel, what’s best for our donors,” he said. “That’s not just, like, they are off in the wrong direction, like, that is unacceptable, that’s treasonous, it’s immoral, it can’t continue.”

“I’ve been a consistent defender for 35 years of the Republican Party, I mean very consistent defender, but there’s no defending this,” he said. “So no, I’m out. And if I’m out, then I think a lot of other people are out.”

(Maybe not surprisingly, I did not locate anything about this on the FoxNews website.)

I'd guess that he just won't vote because the democrats make his skin crawl with their fucked up agenda items.

But then again, it may just be a power play to get more 'clicks'...... this is most likely the case.

Yes he certainly made clear that he is not voting D.

Maybe you are right that he wants the attention and to monetize it. Would not be the first time.

It's really surprising they're losing people's support. (Lol.)

This message from Itamar Ben Gvir, Israel's National Security Minister:

What a horrible statement. I hope there is universal condemnation of this and that he isn't allowed on U.S. soil.

He's talking about being independent isn't he? You don't need to be a member of a party to decide who to vote for. It's really two separate issues

It's true the Republicans have lost many of us.

They didn't follow through on the promises.

Then Trump covered up the Epstein files and started doing everything Israel wanted him to, and people aren't having it.

The No More Wars president led us straight to war.

I genuinely do not understand their strategy...

1. Pretend the Epstein files don't exist despite running on releasing the Epstein files as a core campaign promise and that Trump, despite clearly having a close relationship with Epstein for a time, is a choir boy.

2. Call the "affordability crisis" in America a hoax: pretend gas prices aren't an issue, pretend housing pricing isn't an issue, pretend grocery prices aren't an issue, pretend current inflation rates aren't crushing Americans, pretend tariffs aren't something Americans pay for causing prices to balloon.

3. Campaign on "no new wars" and then launch the US into a big war despite telling the American people that Iran had lost their nuclear capabilities last year. Continue to tell the American public that the US controls the Straight of Hormuz and claim for the 40th time the the US has won and that the war is over despite that never once being the case.

4. Pretend Trump isn't using the Presidency to massively enrich himself and his family: making billions off a meme coin that likely cost 10's of thousands their livelihoods, Trump's estate purchasing millions in shares of companies the White House then turns around and gives massive contracts to, Trump trying to sue the IRS for $10 billion and trying to make himself, his family, and the Trump Org immune from any future tax audits.

They are genuinely relying on the strategy of just flat out lying to the American public and hoping people are dumb enough to not see the hole in their pockets or that the Democrats (who hold no legislative power) are always to blame. They really just think their voter base is this stupid and blindly loyal...

I mean look at that video I linked... that is a sitting congressman from Texas flat out saying he's going to buy lobster tails and ribeyes and that people who can't do that just don't work as hard as he does... all while claiming he's about to celebrate the greatest President the US has ever known on the 4th... literal propaganda bullshit.

True. But since he's not voting for Republicans ... I don't know if he means that literally.

Meanwhile, Marjorie Taylor Greene said she is exploring starting a third party. https://www.yahoo.com/news/politics/art ... 07697.html Apparently she has been in touch with Tucker about this.
